SUMMBITCH.  I'd trust him more to keep the Heisinberg compensator from scrambling me (ala the transporter malfunction in ST:TMP) than Abram:Trek Checkov.

The only tiny consolation about these last several deaths, perhaps especially Downs and Morricone, is that they don't fall into the category of "taken too young."  We have literally decades of their work we can reminisce about and, in some cases, play and savor again.  I anticipate marathoning Morricone's film themes today.

Oh, and I recall Hugh Downs from the puzzle-game show Concentration, even before his time on Today.  But then, I also remember, "Good night, Chet."  "Good night, David ... and good night, for NBC News."

Here is the Hollywood Reporter article:
Grant Imahara, Host of 'MythBusters' and 'White Rabbit Project,' Dies at 49
“We can never undo what we have done. We can never go back in time. We write history with our decisions and our actions. But we also write history with our responses to those actions. We can leave the pain and the damage in our wake, unattended, or we can do the work of acknowledging and fixing, to whatever extent possible, the harm that we have caused.”
