AP: U.S. declares Myanmar army committed genocide in Rohingya attacks

Yeah. "Genocide".

Quote:Violent repression of the largely Muslim Rohingya population in Myanmar amounts to genocide, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday, a declaration intended to both generate international pressure and lay the groundwork for potential legal action.

Authorities made the determination based on confirmed accounts of mass atrocities on civilians by Myanmar's military in a widespread and systematic campaign against the ethnic minority, Blinken said in a speech at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

And on Muslims, no less.

Bet the "Let's Go Brandon" crowd are having fits over that.

The moment you call it a Genocide, a lot of international legal tripwires get tripped, including the obligation to actually do something about it and the perpetrators.

I love the smell of rotaries in the morning. You know one time, I got to work early, before the rush hour. I walked through the empty carpark, I didn't see one bloody Prius or Golf. And that smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole carpark, smelled like.... ....speed.

One day they're going to ban them.
