Following the precedent set by the forum owner in his solo fan works, we present here a list of copyright acknowledgements for this work as a whole.

I have been adding to the above list as more works are added to the Metacontinuity. I will continue to do so without making note of it.

Hmm. In this age of hypertext, I wonder if a list like this needs to be added to each relevant fanfic, or if a simple line of 'Standard copyrights and acknowledgements apply', with a link to this list or one like it on the author's site would work?

Well. I certainly add a list like that to everything I write. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, Rob used my usual format as the model for this list.

That would be lovely. The problem there is that I'm not aware of any such list other than this one. (For an industry that fights so hard to make copyright laws work in their favour, they certainly make it difficult to find the information needed to enforce those laws. Mind you, going to the extent that I went to also provides the information needed to determine when something falls out of copyright.)

If anybody wants to link to it for this purpose, I wouldn't mind.

I did, and I implied as much in the first line of the post:

I've just started a new section "Lyrics and Other Quotations", for acknowledgements of such lines used in individual stories.

It has come to my attention that we had incorrect information listed for Sailor Moon. I have corrected that information (going back to a reputable source from 1997), and apologize for the previous misinformation.
