Quebec provincial election and "first past the post"

Five different political parties made decent if not spectacular showings in the popular vote during the 2022 provincial election in Quebec.

Four different political parties had candidates who were actually elected.

According to Wikipedia:

• Coalition Avenir Québec: 40.98% of the popular vote, 72% of the seats.
  
• Liberal: 14.37% of the popular vote, 17% of the seats.
  
• Québec solidaire: 15.43% of the popular vote, 9% of the seats.
  
• Parti Québécois: 14.61% of the popular vote, 2% of the seats.
  
• Conservative: 12.91% of the popular vote, 0% of the seats.
  

Naturally, everybody but the CAQ is calling for electoral reform.

FPTP is dumb and the only argument in its favor I always hear from politicians is that voters are even dumber. I mean, it's usually phrased as "we don't want to confuse voters", but that is really just sugarcoating the view that voters are as stupid as possums. The only system that works worse than FPTP is dictatorship, which I guess means it's about the same quality as hereditary monarchy.

Seriously, just reform to anything else. Minority rule is tolerable when it has a slim majority, but not a supermajority like that. That vote above is not a republic.

At that rate, just make Harry and Meghan the absolute rulers of Quebec. Please, those two live near me, and you can totally have them, as long as you promise to take them somewhere else.
