I don't see this as a text chat on SMOF-ML.
I see it as a live panel at Serenity-Con, where some Kobalite asked the "wrong" question.
(Hey, it explains what the SMOF were doing when the Boskonians attacked...)
oooOOOooooo!  Let's do it!  *Wicked Grin*
http://drunkardswalkforums.yuku.com/topic/6758]Done. Further contributions on this topic to that thread, please; let's let this thread go back to being about Inspirational and Meta Sites (and related stuff).

My apologies if this has already been seen/done, but I was wondering, has anyone has ever tried dunking this in a barrel of handwavium?

Well, according to the current consensus that wouldn't have much effect. Maybe make it shinier.

However, the idea that handwavium runs on Spiral Energy... well, it makes as much sense as anybody else's hypothesis so far. Who knows?

(I don't.)

Hmm...  Maybe not that one, but the one included with this?  Something similar was accomplished with the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, so there is something of a precedent, though that likely doesn't count for much when handwavium is involved.

You do realize that those are small enough to fit on a charm bracelet or cellphone strap, right?

Although that would make them ideal as pins on the dress uniforms of the Space Patrol's Section 6...

Norway, where can I buy one of those? There's a Device Mode Raging Heart that would make a great birthday present for Nina Avins...

...and I don't see them on CDJapan, either.

(I would have replied earlier, but http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/goods/goods_de ... OGDS-17013]I got distracted...)

That's our Rob, always distracted by the sexy...

Thanks for the help. I did manage to track back to what looked like an online store, but it was entirely in Japanese, and I couldn't find anything by searching in English. I was hoping someone had more of a clue than I.

I've known about various 3D printer technologies for years, but apparently someone's developing one that will work with lunar dust/regolith, which is just neat.

*Sighs* And people are making a stink about space militarisation already. As if it wasn't going to happen sooner or later. You do realize that if a grass-roots company can put an orbiter up into space, then who knows what else someone with less-than-good intentions can do. Prudence only demands that we take measures... though I do think the 'Prompt Global Strike' weapon is a bit much, and lends itself a bit to easily to being a nuclear weapons platform. Large conventional warhead indeed.

Moon dust.
Because we need to add a little more verisimilitude to the stuff on the moon.
(Oh, and think of the possibilities for trade:  I can imagine that jewelers would pay a lot for moon dust abrasives for polishing metal and gems...)
