2011 - A Certain Magical Railgun (animated, Japanese) -- Chronicles the adventures of Misaka Mikoto, a prodigious young sorceress with unprecedented mastery of the Lightning element, as she attends Tristania Academy of Magical Arts. One of only a handful of students to have achieved Pentagonal mastery of her element, she is accompanied in her adventures by Shirai Kuroko (a Square-level mistress of space/time magics with an over-the-top schoolgirl crush on Mikoto), Uiharu Kazari (a skilled researcher with Dot-level skills in both Fire and Ice magics), and Saten Ruiko (talentless at magic, but quite capable nonetheless).
2012 - A Certain Scientific Index (animated, Japanese) -- This spin-off of the wildly successful 'Magical Railgun' tells the story of Kamijou Touma, the mysterious boy who turns up on several occasions in Mikoto's tale, who is somehow immune to magics of all sorts.
