I take it this is approved, then? An earlier date should probably be set for the creation and placement of the memorial, then, and I'd also suggest one for Serenity Valley, and one for OGJ members, maybe in or near the headquarters on Luna.

Okay, just when in each year are the Conventions? 2012's was in March, 2013's was in August... there's no set pattern. Would it be possible to switch the 2018 and 2019 Convention? Of course only if there is not already a plot depending on it...
I dunno. Trying to panic fen in the runnup to a Convention amkes more sense. A lot of issues get settled there, and an attack so close to the convention may have maximum impact and influence on those issues. It'll still be raw in people's minds. Think Spain after the Madrid bombings, in the runnup to an election. A change in government followed....
And just so as there's no misunderstanding Motorcon is nothing more than a gathering of automotive enthusiasts.... it's not a Fenspace Convention but the traditional kind of convention. I would have to say it depends on just what the cell's mindset and long term goals. If they are worried about a fen call to action against them, then slipping it to just after the convention makes more sense. If they are trying to 'raise awareness' about the ebil danes stealing the gelt... they want it just before so that its on everyones minds come convention time allowign them to campaing about "see, if we dont do something, blah blah blah"

They did an orbital bombardment in broad daylight (well, for some definitions of "broad daylight"). I suspect they are the kind of terrorists that care more for visibility than their supposed "goals" -so just before a Convention would be a perfect moment.
Depending on how deluded they are, thay may even fully expect the Convention to approve their tactics and join their rightful crusade againts those 'dane enviroment destroyers.

Nope, pick to your hear's content. Since we are assuming that until 2022 there are no more emergency conventions, it probably would be best to have an (unnoficial) rotation in the areas... Luna/cislunar, Mars, Venus, the Belt, Jupiter, Saturn, (are there enought people in the far outer system beyond Saturn to merit a convention?), Azkaban... maybe not exact rotation, but someting like the unspoken agreement in olympic games and footbal mundials, in that you do not repeat planets.
What is the relationship between these conventions and the annual World Science Fiction conventions?
Are the WorldCons still held on Earth, or, do science fiction fans from Earth head out to whereever in Fenspace these conventions are held? There are other regular SF cons, such as EuroCon, EasterCon in the UK, and I'm sure lots of others. I have added the 2018 and 2022 convention to the wiki (the later with a questionmark) so that they are not forgotten again. If we decide to move things for 2022, we can still edit it.
ISTR, way back at the start of Fenspace, that the Conventions were essentionally WorldCon moved off-world, but I think that idea fell by the wayside pretty quickly. That said, I think that there should be at least one WorldCon held in Fenspace, if only because groundside fans would demand it. Of course, American fans probably couldn't attend, at least not without considerable government attention paid to their actions, but still...

It would have reduced after the "detente" of the 2014 treaty, but a lot of them would have had to spend some years trying to disentangle themselves from being on that list. Odds are good, though, that the list was effectively dropped entirely, if only because a number of Fen would have "quietly" ignored it in arranging to transport people who wanted to visit, especially once Fen could regularly land in America with their cars again. Okay, here goes... You'll note that there are some number-signs in place of actual days or dates for some entries. What should they be replaced with? (Yes, I know some of them are my own.)
Fenspace Timeline: 2013 - 2022 2013 January-July: Ciara on Patrol between main Belt and Port Phobos, with occasional detours around Fenspace. Normally on convoy escort duty. Occasional rescues and answering distress calls. January 9: SS Ciara on way back from patrol when Crystal Osaka balloon goes up. Ditches unnecessary crew at Stellvia, refuels, charges to Osaka at full throttle.... refuels again using their bunkered stores at the city, boarding while fuelling. SS Ciara ends up being one of the last ships to leave. Crewmember lies to people at the boarding gate so she can get the airlock shut, telling them another ship would be following them when she knew there wouldn't. August 12: Just prior to Serenitycon, SS Ciara receives a distress call. Answers it only to find the rescuee is actually a small Boskone fleet. The ship takes a beating, but manages to defeat the fleet. However, their radio systems where smashed when a ramship that would've struck them amidships and split the ship instead skims through that section of the superstrucure, killing everyone inside. The ship is essentially ruined, on reserve life support with only a few hours remaining, and no propulsion. Garret chooses to split the crew up, two teams of ten in each of the Jaguar launches will try and make it to nearby settlements to get help. (**WHITENOISE*** is just within range, as is a Rockhounds owned mine) The remains will stay aboard, eking out the 02 and trying to rig up a transmitter. Garret personally takes command of one launch. The other is handled by the ship's Pilot. Garret makes it to **WHITENOISE** navigating with nothing more than a PDA and a calculator. The second launch is found a week later, abandoned and out of gas, an hour short of its destination. Aboard the SS Cira, the XO and Chief engineer hatch a bold, but risky plan to restart one engine to supply oxygen. The risk, is that they drain the last of their air supplies to do it. But someone needs to go into the engine room still flooded with contaminated coolant. Chief Engineer volunteers, and manages to get the diesel motor running at idle speed. At the cost of gaining a Nazzadi biomod. Engineers build a simple spark-gap transmitter out of a welding kit and are able to use the engine's genarator to power it. It's transmissions show up as little more than noisy interferance on the standard frequencies. hopefully attracting attention from someone annoyed at it, who'll notice the pattern. Rescue arrives! Ciara towed to Hepheastus for repairs. But at least a third of the crew dead or missing. August 18-24: SerenityCon. The Ironic Raid. Parts of the Whole Fenspace Catalog are published to Fenspace. September 1: Soviet MARS units infiltrate Boskone One during the opening phases of Fleet Action Attila, capturing much of the asteroid in advance of the main Great Justice fleet. September ##: Garret is told that the Ciara's second boat's crew survived and are being held at a small base. Nobody in GJ can spare the resources for ten people.... not when the big push is coming. HMS Lydia arrives for repair and rearm at Hepheastus, with Takeuchi shipyards full. Garret and volunteers from his crew pull a Kirk on the Lydia, stealing the ship and flying off to SSX base. They're fully aware that this might get them a spell in prison, but frankly, Raymond thinks his friends have to come first. He was responsible for them. Him alone. Everyone else is 'just following orders'. If they don't succeed, everyone's spending some time in the stockades. Arrive at SSX base in the renaimed 'Borrowed Time'. Raise a Pirate fleet who find the idea of jacking a Senshi cruiser with tentative enthusiasm. The shock of one appearring under the Jolly Harlock frightens some. Raid on target : Skull Island. Several catgirls and the surviving members of Garret's crew rescued. Some valuable Boskone hardware captured. Garret turns himself over to justice willingly, returning the ship. Being hard to argue with success, and appreciating a little drama (And the cooperation of the Space Pirates), it's decided that he merely borrowed it for a bit, and since it was returned in pretty much the condition it left in, with added prizes in tow, not much need be done about it. September ##: Like many other larger research institutions interested in space (and Fenspace), both ESA and JAXA acquire a copy of the "public" version of the Whole Fenspace catalog. September ##: After the attack on SerenityCon, FAST pack refits made available to GSS squadrons September 5 to December 21: The Soviet Air Force Delta Pavonis Expedition discovers a bunch of planets and an alien stargate orbiting Delta Pavonis. Activating the stargate they find another unit orbiting Zeta 1 Reticuli along with another bunch of habitable planets. November: Return to convoy duty of the refit Ciara. November ##: JAXA publicly announces a nationwide effort to reverse engineer the fusion reactor from the Whole Fenspace Catalog. ESA silently begins to hunt down information about advanced ion drives in the Catalog, based on their existing knowledge of the technology. November ##: Several Daneverse organisation, including ESA and JAXA grab a copy of the Catalog for themselves. November ##: Representatives of ESA travel to Japan to propose JAXA a joined effort to reactivate their diminished space program with the help of the Catalog. Shortly afterwards both organizations see a boost of their budget for their proposed project for 'clean energy'. December ##: Ciara answers distress call from a Boskonian ramship that lost engine power. Captain of the ship defects, revealing intelligence about a shipment of thionite running towards Earth. Shipment busted with the assistance of local forces. Platowski sentenced to probation, with a 2 year suspended sentence pending good behaviour.... joins the crew of the Ciara to work off his parole, because he owes them one. December ##: ESA and JAXA have a secret meeting to discuss the ramifications of the Catalog. Together they draw up a plan for getting their governments to spend more money for space travel. 2014 all year: After two years of relying on Hephaestus and Gnarlycurl for the majority of their aerospace solutions, Benjamin Rhodes establishes Black Aeronaut Technologies, LLC. The primary vision and goal of BAT is to provide the more discerning spacers amongst the fen with superior ships and craft (and in the process, supplement the military budget of the Roughriders). In a bold move, Benjamin also announced that all BAT designs are open source, however he also states, "But good luck getting them to be anywhere near our build quality." This proves not to be a boast as BAT's initial offerings of F-EZigs, Blackbird-, Peacemaker-, and Albatross-class ships prove to be more hardy and reliable than any of their competition. Soon enough, only BAT builds of their signature ships, the Blackbird and Peacemaker, can be found on the market. January 1: Kagome Mishima "wakes up." January 15: Fall of Boskone Prime - the most massive fleet action of the entire campaign, including elements from the United Federation of Planets, Galactic Republic, Soviet Air Force, Gearheads, and United States Navy. January ##: SS Ciara makes courtesy visit to Irish Republic, shortly after general pardon signed. It's a diplomatic mission to extend good relations. Raymond Garret secretly drafted by the government to act as their 'representative' among the peoples of Fenspace.... lest the people of Ireland find out 'the truth'. He's forced to play ball. An RTE documentary crew accompanies them on a trip around Fenspace, videoing their daily lives. Some of the crew appear on the Late Late Show. February ##: Operation Cats' Cradle (a.k.a. the Quattro Incident) on 2462 Nehallenia. February ##: Ford Sierra realises that Jet isn't so much burning the candle at both ends, but has thrown it bodily into the furnace, and threatens to tell her friends and force it to stop if she doesn't do anything about it. When Ford asks her what she wants to actually do, Jet's answer is 'I want to be a Knight Saber'. February ##: The ‘Toshiba Electrostatic Stellarator’ produce energy for the first time. A resolution is presented and passed regarding the development of new warship designs: While any faction may design a new ship without official scrutiny, the actual building of a new warship is closely monitored and Questions Will Be Asked unless it is replacing a previously-destroyed armed ship or being sold to Great Justice or the Space Patrol. Jet Jaguar and Benjamin Rhodes drag race down the the main city highway. First appearance of Lunatic Fringe. October 23: {name} becomes the first person to set foot on Earendil (Zet1Ret II). {gender} calls it “not an experience I want to do again any time soon.” October 2015 – January 2016: The Columbia/Laika Expedition investigates Night’s Door, discovers that some of the higher functions of the stargate’s management computer can be accessed remotely. Initial queries produce a limited database of unknown data. October 2015 – January 2016: The Xenu Express/Uragan Expedition does a simultaneous investigation of Tannhauser Gate. While the initial discoveries are more limited, a lucky micrometeoroid impact breaks off a 5 kg chunk of the stargate’s exterior. Xenu Express captures the debris and returns it to Black Mesa for examination. Mid-November 2015 to mid-April 2016: The First Zeta Tucanae Exploration Mission. That expedition found little of material or biological interest, but they did establish a reliable communications line from Sol to Zeta Tucane. This immediately places him in the hot seat as the second wave of the Occupy Movement comes up out of the gravity well. After Ben has the protesters sent back home in automated BAT-marked container ships, the passengers hack the controls and begin move on to other Fen settlements to further their Movement. Ben mishandles the situation slightly by having Gina and the A-Team intercept and forcibly redirect the container ships to Earth once more and the media has a field day with the matter. Only a timely assist by Noah Scott hiring a crack-legal team keeps Ben from being tarred and feathered. However, this was only the first of such political disasters to come for the roughriders. February 15: Maiden Flight of the Thor Heyerdahl to Mars February ##: Jet Jaguar purchases her puppet body from AC, ostensibly for a 'puppet party'. Metaverse incident on Genaros follows. Someone used the Party to contact Jet anonymously, and inform her so she can go to the authorities. March: Thanks to a case of mismanagement bad enough to be mentioned in future editions of Rockhounds training manuals as a prime example of 'how not to do it' New Birmingham mining corporation goes into administration, followed by ultimate liquidation. April ##: Stingray Motor Engineering bought by Sylia Stingray. It becomes a quietly successful mundane company, with enough modest turnover to keep the wolves at bay. Earns a little early notoriety for an advertisement that compares a Police Helicopter and a Stingray RE1300T on top speed.... . May 1: The Soviet Air Force officially dissolves and rebrands itself as the Sozvezdie Soviet, ditching the pretense of paramilitary force in favor of becoming a proper government. The VVS leadership steps down en masse and (for the most part) stands for election to the new Central Committee. The Soviet promptly votes those standing to their new posts in the Central Committee. The Committee then votes Mal in as First Minister. May 2: Columbia is seconded from the Red Banner Fleet to Film Collective Studio #1, the first time a ship is moved from the main forces to a secondary command. However CGI and Cortana remains unable to account for the excess energy gain after the initial hit, and writes it off as a 'wave effect'. November 10: Operation “Aurora 2017” launches from Nouveau Paris. December 11: All four ISVs reach Saturn. All material is unloaded and the ISVs immediately leave again for Earth. ##### ##: CI and the Roughriders builds a companion drone for the RR veritechs. No new functions are discovered, though Arbitrary does manage to trigger another data dump. ##### ##: LulzSec releases a handful of documents indicating that the Whole Fenspace Catalog was doctored before release. Both men think the other is being unreasonable. Relations between the VVS and StellviaCorp (and between Sora and Noah) sour, as do relations between the Galactic Republic and StellviaCorp. Very privately, the Ministry of Science authorizes the Amalthea Engineer District and the Ravenholm Engineer District to begin work on the items found in the redacted sections of the Whole Fenspace Catalog. Ravenholm will focus on manadynamics and other esoteric/supernatural phenomena while Amalthea works on developing and improving Catalog nanotechnology. ##### ##: GCU It Was Like That When I Got Here (NCC-110) launched. ##### ##: Mal, Sora and Tina’s mutual orbits finally collide properly and the binary becomes a stable trinary, so to speak. ##### ##: The Amalthea Project reverse-engineers Catalog nanotechnology into a primitive assembly system. The day after it is announced, Minerva Swansen-Anderson announces the existence of a fully-functional and practical nanoassembly system. VVS/StellviaCorp relations grow even more frosty, but Republic/StellviaCorp relations improve. 2018 2018-2020: Continued scrutiny by the public at large is levelled at Benjamin and the Roughriders. Of particular note is the Roughriders continual build up of military forces, and their dispersal throughout the Sol system and the extra-solar colonies. Benjamin is accused of plotting to stage a military coup and Ben fights back with figures on raids stopped, goods preserved and lives saved by Roughrider actions in the past year alone, and also contrasts with funds granted from GJ (which is not a lot at all for an organization their size). Complaints go on hold for a while, however, when the UBA begins to sponsor raids in the Belt. all year: Kohran Li and Natsuko Aki slowly reconcile over the year. January 3: Kohran Li buys a small residence on Deimos, sells her StellviaCorp shares back to the company, and resigns from StellviaCorp. She invites Makoto Miyadera to live with her. January 5: Noah Scott "indulges his muse" one more time and starts to build another AI. (Concerns that he's done this because of Kohran's departure, or the breakdown of relations between him and Sora, are met with stony silence, but any other explanation offered by anyone else is denied.) Amazingly, Prim Snowlight wakes up the same day and assists in her own construction. January 10: Kohran Li is hired as the pyrotechnician at the Clark Savage, Jr. Memorial Stadium and Music Complex, on the understanding that she can also perform her "Red Lad Revue" there at least one a month. January 12: The four ISVs reach Nouveau Paris. After a checkup, they are loaded with more materials for the Saturn base. February 10: First public performance by the Red Lad Revue. Kohran sends box-seat invitations to Noah, Leda, Sora, Mal, and Tina - the same box. She has them locked in until they can talk to each other civilly (if not comfortably), although it takes personal intervention by both herself and Makoto after the show to make that happen. February 20: Second batch of material reaches Saturn. The ISVs are sent back to have them at Earth if Saturn needs more deliveries. February 28: MCU Buran (OV-223) launched. March 30: MCU Borei (OV-224) launched. April 1: Jade Harley-Hasegawa born (constructed, w/e). She’s the first second-generation Scott series android from the Hasegawa line, and incorporates advances in the art by her mother Sora, her ‘uncle’ Eljay and ‘aunts’ Deidre, Dee and Kohran. April 2: Noah Scott tells Oliver Towne that the Nikaido Foundation is to operate as it sees fit, without further direct guidance from StellviaCorp. Noah puts half of StellviaCorp's stake in the foundation - 26% of the total shares - up for sale, giving up his majority shareholder status. April 19: Terror attack by ‘Green Fist’ on the construction site at Saturn. (Details to be delivered in story ^^) April 28: An accident involving an experiment with untrinilium leads to some “creative rearranging” of Black Mesa’s surface layer and a minor panic on Galatea. January 16: SCSV Rinna Kazamatsuri (nicknamed "Hanger Queen Rinna" by the Starfleet engineers who built her) is finally launched. Safety is appointed as her first captain, and given orders to crew the ship and go explore the Beta Hydri system. She immediately recruits most of the crew of the first Zeta Tucanae exploration mission as the core of the Rinna Kazamatsuri's crew. While the ship is supplied by Artemis, it remains under direct StellviaCorp control. February ##: Serenity II arrives on Frigga to inspect Survival Shot, as part of a tendering process to supply training services to the Militia. Serenity runs through an exercise and is soundly defeated by TITANIC. Second UBA-sponsored raid on Frigga mistaken for an assassination attempt on Queen Serenity II. Missile defences are still not replaced. Serenity II forbidden from fighting by her bodyguards, much to her personal frustration. Jet handles the attacking mercenaries personally. Genuinely believing it to be an assassination attempt aware of who and what they were attacking and not a raid, Jet responds with overwhelming force. Analysis of surviving computers and Patrol interrogation of the survivors reveals they were hired by a UBA representative, didn't even know Serenity II was present, and believed that Frigga was mostly an ordinary backwater. Serenity II mentions re-opening the mine workings on Frigga before departing. Daryl Haur made official SAM representative on site. March onward: Knight Saber missions against UBA step up. March 15: ESA and JAXA announce their plan to build a space elevator in South America together with AEB, the Brazilian Space Agency. The hope to finish the project by 2030. April 1: Upon reaching nominal maturity, Jade Harley-Hasegawa becomes a citizen of the Sozvezdie Soviet. After her six-month stint with X-COM (where she spends most of her time learning how to shoot things really good) she will join the Ravenholm Project with her parents’ blessings, focusing on practical heavy manadynamics. SME is noted for hiring 'new' workers and favouring those with little experience. SME launders Knight Saber funding, and disguises hardware payments as patent licencing fees and Business to Business transactions. Jet realises that 120 people will lose their job and livelihood through no fault of their own if the Knight Sabers little game of secrecy ends. November ##: Friggans holiday on the planet 'Arcadia' in Epsilon Eridani. Mackie runs into the ruins of the Iconian Gate while riding a jet ski, and brings a chunk home. Discovery kept quiet by the Federation to deter souvenir hunters and alien artifact trading, which may destroy valuable archaeology. December ##: Frigga Defence Force plans fall through. Nobody really wants to move that far out for anything more than a few days. It's too much of a ghost town. Frigga left holding the hardware. Budget for their appearance at the 2023 convention eaten up... the Berkut project stops halfway through. December ##: Marsden and family return to Greenwood to celebrate Christmas with their friends there and check up on events in the Solar System. They also begin preparation of another support/supply vessel for the 3rd Eta Cass expedition. ##### ##: Third Normandy Class is finished (and named "Dark Tower"). Shinji meets AC, given a clean bill of health and put through the standard tests. Results 'surprising'. Kotono spends time at Kandor renewing qualifications. Learns that SHIELD knows what she's really doing on Frigga. Daryl meets with higher-ups among the militia on Venus for 'secret northern spy' business. Anika left minding the fort as she's the only one who couldn't think of an excuse to go. Party with her friends. February ##: A.C mentions to Jet that with ShockSkin and ten years of technological advancements in miniaturisation, it's now possible for Jet to retain the majority of her current capabilities while appearing normal... Jet needs time to consider. March ##: Mackie builds his own racer. Daryl finally finishes her F-104 based machine. They enter the Solar Regatta. Mackie finishes respectably with Anika as Co-pilot, even managing to win a single stage. The 104 is too heavy, but stable. Mackie unleashed Fusion Boosting add-on kits for BAT Cuke engines onto the wider market, selling them under his own name. A few people use them on BAT-derived racers... March ##: A sample of the Tanalloy battery used in Shinji's Judy makes its way to Kohran Li, who's able to confirm that it's almost certainly a crude copy of the Tannhauser Gate metal. Frigga learns they aren't the first to succeed in replicating it, just the first to do so publicly. Others had done so before, but preferred to study it first and understand the physics behind so they could be sure it was safe for general consumption. Some think them reckless for using an alien technology they don't understand so readily. Tanalloy becomes a common name for gate-derived metal. March ##: Frigga admitted to Elerium consortium on condition that they share their research, and withhold a full public release until after the consortium agrees it's safe. Research is more into practical application than the theory behind it March ##: 'Skuldium' proposed as the name for the element previously known as Unbihexium (126). April ##: Jet finishes the construction of 5 more Android frames. Decides against awakening them, on advice from Myk-El Miller. "Jet, I appreciate that you feel there's a void that needs to be filled... but given what we've seen out there, is playing God again really the right answer? Remember the issues you had with Shinji." Frigga may be lonely, but that's the wrong way to solve it. They get set aside for spare parts, or until living conditions improve. Daryl mentions that Crystal Millennium has been in contact with her about solving that problem in a mutually beneficial manner. Jet objects, worrying that she would be ceding control over the Knight Sabers to someone who might order them to do something they disagree with. April ##: Shinji meets Yuu Inagawa for the first time. They get on well. April ##: Ford's plans for the Frigga 500 morph on the mailling list into 'Motorcon'... a small convention for the gearheads and gasoline lovers of Fenspace where their vehicles can be run up to full speed in Frigga's tunnels. Motorcon committee forms with Ford as chair to establish the event. Sponsors are found, starting with StelOil. April ##: CGI signs contract to construct a factory in one of Frigga's empty chambers. July 10-16: ChanurCon. Frigga demonstrates a type of fusion powered spacecraft cannon. The prototype fails. Ford's Cosmo Dragoons using the same basic mechanism in a handgun boost her reputation as a gunsmith. 4 and only 4 are sold. The Motorcon committee makes its official event announcement. Membership fee is set to cover the cost of providing medical care on-site, fuel.... and paying to ship any potential guests. The venue is provided by the committee, as is accommodation. Shinji spotted together with Yuu Inagawa. There's nothing happening between them, they swear. Serenitycon anniversary. August ##: Knight Saber mission. Hired by a commander of the Sammie Merchant Marine to figure out why his ships keep getting attacked on the way back from their extrasolar colony. It's a straight up hire, not a GJ mission. She tells them he suspects someone on the inside is giving convoy details, since only she and the crews know the course. Knight Sabers in SAM uniform, aboard a Q-ship fitted out with a big expense account. Convoy attacked. Pirates knew exactly which ship was the Q-ship. Knight Sabers aided by one of the freighters which was also quietly armed without telling anyone. Since only two people knew they were a Q-ship, and one just rescued them.... Long story short. The commodore was crooked. She needed to be seen to be doing something about the pirate problem, so hired the Knight Sabers and threw them to the wolves. She gets arrested by another Troubleshooter on the foot of gathered evidence moments after paying the Sabers.... August ##: Mackie leaves home to study Mechatronic engineering at NIT. August ##: MAGI upgrade to TITANIC postponed.... again. It works, but not in any reliable manner. August ##: Catgirl industries finishes phase 1. First thing produced are a series of FR-15 rifles for Survival Shot. AR-15 variants manufactured almost entirely out of carbon composite structural battery, with an integrated smart gun system. Sold under Ford's heavyarms brand. August ##: Jet Jaguar disappears to Prometheus Forge for 'upgrades'. Returns 7 days later looking the exact same, only cleaner. "This is who I am, armour and all." Top speed increases, reaction times drop, Radio and radar frequency and sen processor upgrades, software alterations and general maintenance . Jet gains a full sensor array in place of the original radar using. Jet also now mounts racks for knuckle and ankle bombers, with an external safety interlock switch. Puppet interface lag is 'reduced' through a tachypsychia control system that can slow Jet's natural reactions to the point where the lag would be imperceptible, which keeps jittery sensations and responses from 'spoiling the mood'. It can be turned off when not needed. The idea was Jet's... after reading about a swordfighting game that used the same approach ... even if the implementation wasn't. September ##: 2023 Motorcon Runs for three days of gasoline fueled smog-creating speed. Manages to pay its bills and get enough money for the next year. Jay Leno spotted amongst the crowd on a jet-bike. Sylia Stingray spotted with Ford Sierra in a compromising position..... a few eyebrows raised, then quickly forgotten. October ##: Shinji Ikari writes to Jet. He's transferred to Ultima crew and is doing well. Inside is a picture of him with Yuu. The seem happy. November ##: Daryl, acting as an official faction representative, conveys an offer from the Crystal Millennium to the Friggans. They wish to re-open the old mineworks on Frigga. Using modern equipment makes the old ore economical again, and they believe it to be cheaper and easier than establishing a fresh settlement from scratch. Jet restates her objection. Ford disagrees with Jet. Frigga is dying slow, even after Motorcon - seven people isn't enough for a Settlement. Negotiations are traded back and forth... the Knight Sabers issue is skirted around, while the definition of who owns what takes time. Frigga is, after all, legally private property, not a faction state. If there was one thing Ford and Jet were careful of... if Survival Shot failed, nobody could take Frigga. December ##: Arrangements finalised between Crystal Millennium and Friggans, and a final draft agreement is made. All that remains is to vote. 7 Owners of Frigga vote on it, after Anika insists on a secret ballot. Vote passes to accept the offer, 5/2. Shinji votes by mail. December 25: Shinji and Yuu announce the "birth" of their daughter Nana. A few eyebrows are raised when nobody remembers having heard anything resembling a marriage or common-law-relationship announcement beforehand... or afterwards. When asked, Yuu reminds everyone that they aren't biological people and those rules don't need to apply to them. ##### ##: Chris Marsden and Rei Ayanami join in the Shinji Ikari Rescue Mission, using the opportunity to smuggle another shipment of equipment to the Knight Sabers. Over the course of the year Rei is spotted several times on Stellvia, always in a social situation with Shinji. ##### ##: SBA launches the first Acquila class Destroyer, sending it as escort for the 3rd Eta Cass fleet. ##### ##: Black Mesa deciphers the Night’s Door data, reveals it as a database of accessible stargate nodes within a 3,000 light-year radius of the Door. Hm. Are we looking at appending this to the timeline currently on the wiki? 'Cos if so then there's a lot of stuff that can get cut out. All the various ship launch dates and personal data - like, for example, while it's an important part of their personal history I don't think Mal, Sora and Tina running off on a "fact finding mission" is worthy of inclusion in the Grand Sweep of Events that is the official Timeline.
