automatic url -> link conversion testing
automatic url -> link conversion testing
#1
testing:

http://www.example.com

http://www.example.com/

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff.html

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff/

ETA: ok, even when posting with the non-quick reply method, it doesn't auto-convert

and testing the quick reply:

http://www.example.com

http://www.example.com/

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff.html

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff/

ETA: hmm, this does seem like a bug.

Hm. I am copying your URL examples below. I have the "Convert URLS" checkbox (3rd under the quick reply) checked.

http://www.example.com

http://www.example.com/

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff.html

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff/

Hm. Interesting. I had to preview twice to get the links to properly convert, and then the last one didn't convert because it didn't end with a
carriage return.

in both cases, yes, I had the Convert urls checked (it's automatically checked as part of my options)

And no matter how many times I preview I can't seem to get it to autoconvert.

Which browser are you using? Maybe there's an incompatability somewhere...

(And here's a autoconversion test, with a real URL: http://robkelk.ottawa-anime.org/ )

Seamonkey at home here, which is Firefox dressed up funny.

IE 7 here at work, and I'm doing the same test I did before:

http://www.example.com

http://www.example.com/

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff.html

http://www.example.com/some_more_stuff/

Okay, that worked right the first time through, except again for the last line, which at the time didn't have a carriage return terminating it.

Your guess is as good as mine.
