Messed up formatting
Messed up formatting
#1
For some reason, I've had two posts get their formatting messed up.  Both times, there is a big empty space at the start of the message, and in the second one the first two lines got centered.  Anyone have any idea what is going on?
Post one
Post two
Edit:
Make this post number three.

hmm, I'm not sure why, but it looks like some sort of image (maybe?) is being injected.

anyone recognize this?

It looks almost like their latest attempt to inject something like an ad (can you tell I think little of Yuku?) is actually completely misconfigured. It looks like it's attempting to post a vector animation, possibly a Flash object, but the address in the system is borked.

We're not nearly out of pageviews yet, so we shouldn't be getting ads of any sort.

Also, for some reason, the text entry line (whatever the proper name for that is) is half hidden in the entry field, before I start entering anything.  Not sure if it is related though.  Take a look:

They've been making a lot of changes to the interface recently; I'm sure that's involved somehow. If these were more consistent over users, though, it would be easier to quantify...

I'm guessing something in the editor you've got the board set to use is getting confused and sticking that extra stuff in your posts, since it's actually in the source of your post and not something being inserted when it displays.

Maybe try switching to a different one and see if it keeps happening?

There are different editors? I guess I've got the default one then. How would I go about changing it?

At the top of the page, there's a bar that starts with "yuku Welcome Jorlem!" A bit further to the right, there's a link that says "Account". Follow that link.

On the left-hand side of the Control Panel page, there's a box labeled "Settings" Click on "Preferences" in that box.

Near the bottom of the Preference Settings page, there's a list with the heading "Editor Type:" Choose your favourite, then click on "Submit" in the lower-right corner.

Your editor should be changed.

As I recall, there used to be a way to change the editor type of the Quick Reply area at the bottom of each thread page, too, but that seems to be gone now.

Thanks.  I'll be giving this editor a try for the next few days.
