That's between him, his conscience, and his governor.
Personally, I think keeping Congress split between the two parties is good for the country, because it discourages either of them from getting too bold.
But I'd sure as hell not want to take it at the cost of a man's life.--

I thoroughly agree. Senator Johnson has my wishes for a full recovery.
I admit the thought occurred to me that it might work to the Conservatives favor, (which to me is a good thing) but almost instantly I quashed that thought. This is a man's life. I don't want him to die or be incapacitated so much that he has to leave. Political advantage should not be wished for at the expense of a man's life.
