... and while I was editing, Valles *nails* it. That's... that's beautiful, man.

So! What's her *name*, then?

Dark Saber is *awfully* derivative, even assuming it hasn't been taken already.

Rad Saber is just... funny. Heh. Maybe.

Ideas! C'mon, Valles, you came through once already... [Image: smile.gif]

Alas, I can only note that I like the idea of a Teenaged Mutant Ninja Knight Saber. ^_^

Hmm.... I am oddly tempted to make a Katana/SR for one of these Sabres... I might work up a costume some time soon...

... Turtle Saber? Terrapin Saber? Er... not my cup of tea, I think. [Image: smile.gif]

Thought of some more, one of these or the previous ones should be open, and palatable [Image: smile.gif].

Nano Saber

Boost Saber (derived from the Rad portion of her defender powersets)

Potential ideas:

Prey Sabre

Twilight Sabre

Shade Sabre

Stealth Sabre

Celadon Sabre (when in doubt, find synonyms for their colors. [Image: happy.gif])

Gamma Sabre (She's already green...)

Incidentally, yes, there's a theme in the slight mispelling caused by EVERY SINGLE recognizable nom de guerre for
Sylia with the name "Saber" was taken. Maybe Sylia's got some British sensibilities, though I've never heard her refer to fish and chips or
talk trash about "us Yanks"
Also, in an amusing coincidence, I still have a screenshot of some random hero that Nene ran into at the transtation
that had an armor rather similar to hers. Methinks Crey needs better locks.

Here we have two Screenies of a Katana/Super Reflex Sabre inspired by your workings here. Nothing created yet... -yet-.
[Image: b6a269d1b69ef0a440311cee9751398c43a81564.jpg] [Image: b171691397084e1ae61832174e2207c1dd2fbb26.jpg]
Tis a bit lighter on the Armor, but it is such due to the mobility given/required by Super Reflexes. I've a slight background for the SR being a rather insignificant (by itself) power of hers, a 'few second precognition' utilized by the tech, but needs more fleshing out to do. GIMME MOAR! (And you'll have another lovely teammate ^-^)

Having given it a little thought, here's a little addition to spin off origins:

"Having lost control of the original four Sabres, Crey has a potential PR disaster on their hands. Intended to be armored shock troops like the Paragon
Protectors, the Sabres' datanets were furnished with basic Crey access codes to the tacnet used by the Paragon Protectors and Crey Crisis Teams for
coordination. While the heroes have shown no knowledge of possessing such a damning piece of evidence that could quite literally expose the entirety of
Crey's illegal operations to the public(and knowing their history, would use such at the first opportunity), the Countess has declared that a new
subdivision be commissioned to hunt down the Sabres and reacquire the smoking gun they're unwittingly carrying. Not being able to use the Paragon
Protectors, already under scrutiny, to hunt down liscensed heroes makes the situation problematic, especially given the Sabres having given Crey a wide berth
in recent events. Thus, Project Scimitar was enacted, using the data taken from the Sabres during their confinement. Several prototypes were constructed and
further customized with unique abilities, with the intent that they would make fine "costumed criminals", a villainous counterpart to the Paragon
Protectors in plausible deniability. Unfortunately for Crey, they've yet to work out that niggling little bug in the code that seems to spark true
sentience in anything based off their stolen sexaroid tech...."

Well, we'll certainly look like a "Riot Force" in general appearance by then. Even if the name's homage source looked anything but. [Image: laugh.gif]

I'd like to hold the name "Rider Saber" in reserve, for when my budget allows the purchase of more Virtue slots. [Image: smile.gif]

And now, may I present... Nano Sabre!

She's a Rad/Dark defender, and I'll come up with her twist on the origin soon(ish).

Edit: these pics are already outdated, as I've swapped out her boots for Rocket Boots. Yay Rocket Boots!

I've a suitable origin in mind, but as of yet it hinges on a few things. I've figured it could work quite well as a variant twist on Linna's own
origin of sorts. Essentially, a girl with a minor/insignificant power (as most everything in Paragon is Super powered to some extent) granting the ability to
make her own 'personal' time slow to, so as to effectively react much faster to events. Given a meeting or two and a wing to come under, and there you
have Swift Sabre.

On second thought, make that "Psyche Sabre" and I can use that as my psi Blaster. [Image: smile.gif] And Spud: sure, thanks, but don't hesitate to wipe it if
you need the slot.

EML: As soon as I get off work I'll nail it down. I've got three (or four, depending on whether I keep Cherenkov Knight or not -- probably not) empty
slots, and budgeting for more next month, so it should be good for a while. [Image: smile.gif]

And just so this isn't a totally content-free post, here's the bio/origin I'm thinking of using for Nano Sabre:

----

I ... I don't know who I am. I remember the room with the lights, and the wires snaking down into my head. I remember blue robots -- BUMA? -- and
explosions and friendship... but it's all foggy and ... who am I? I'm not the cute one, nor the stern one, or the tough one or the fast one...
I'm nobody.

The marks on my armor and my scattered memories say that I'm a prototype. A prototype of what? I don't know! I'm somebody's creation... am I
even really alive?

I remember the escape. The startled expressions of my rescuers -- the ones who look so much like the friends I remember. They don't know who I am
either... their memories must be as fragmented as mine.

But I know my place. It is at their side, fighting to help others like me. And maybe, someday, they'll remember me, and I'll know who I am.

Because of Valles *very* excellent suggestion re: how I could reconcile the Dark Blast powerset with a Tech-origin hero. They're clouds of nanomachines!
Helpfully, this explains the prevalence of DoT attacks and debuffs, as well. Heh.

Her Rad primary is cake to explain for a Tech hero, it was the Dark secondary that was throwing me.

In her in-game bio I may clarify this, or not, I dunno yet. [Image: smile.gif]
