- Trick or Treating for costumes and salvage also presents the usual fun, including stockpiling salvage for the next year.

Interesting notes from test include the fact that costumes and salvage can drop at the same time, as they're not part of the same "spawn". Also,
you can get tricked, spawning Halloween enemies. For reference, the numbers needed for various badges:

Also, the two Croa GMs have special Halloween spawns which can spawn anywhere, and which are accompanied by the Unseelie Court, a unique mob.

Of course, one should remember these don't count as the Croa spawns and thus
don't count towards Geas of the Kind Ones.

- On that note, however, the game is locked into nighttime once the event starts, making Ghost hunting in Croa much easier for the Haunted badge.

All in all, plenty of opportunities. Full dates are, of course, Oct 20th - Nov 2nd.

It's at times like this that the folly of playing two MMORPGs makes itself most evident: WoW's halloween event started today, and they now have their
own version of badge rewards. ^.^

...That's three (tiny) continents worth of trick-or-treating on one world, plus a city to protect in the other, and bosses to strike down in both...

So I read this and think "Damn, guess I'm not going to be playing Rin Asakura for a while." (Those online a couple nights ago or so may have heard me complaining about Mercy Island at night.)

But then I think, hey, Rin's based on part of a poking at horror movies, so playing her around this kind of year seems appropriate.

Then I roll a saving throw vs. snark, and fail, so feel compelled to add that besides, with the darkness... IN HER SOUL, she shouldn't have any problem with perpetual night. ^_~

-Morgan. Of course, I'll probably just end up on Shia Arisa Plenilune most of the time (aside from picking up the badges on Eri Silverwing anyway).

Things We Learned In A Zombie Apocalypse

- Having five people alone in an Astoria graveyard as it starts is FREAKY
- Nene and Syndesis get along way, way too well for comfort
- If Nene puts Thriller on during a zombie invasion, she must either use external speakers or bring headphones for everyone
- There were no hounds of hell, so everyone in the Legendary has the soul for getting down.
- Farming becomes stupidly easy in Halloween by clicking on doors and just SKing people
- "Red sky at night, zombie's delight."
- Emet apparently gives the impression that his player likes to cyber.
- Nightmares JUST WANT TO ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT
- Zombie badges are much, MUCH easier than Rikti badges
- Halloween this year will be FUCKING AWESOME

to expand on the farming comment - there's a place in PI with two office building doors facing each other across a small courtyard. Station a tank at
either complex of doors, fill the group, and everyone starts clicking.

_MADNESS_.

Lessons of the Zombie Apocalypse

- Zombie Badges are easy to get
- Easy farming in PI!
- Leechers suck
- Trick spawns left behind will aggro at random and run across the city!
- Zombies rising from the ground sounds disgusting!
- The next two weeks are going to be as fun as HELL.

I had Vyper the emp out waiting on the apocalypse with a baby scrapper buffed out in spades who was ToTing doors. Vyper got about 10 levels from that back
before she was 50 and had all the badges for the Halloweenie crud so I pulled out Tish the fire kin who doesn't.

We wound up sucking up another 50 and sk onto the team. Triple tricks on a kin with FS? = optimal ToTing carnage made of win and awesome however when the
apocalypse hit I pined for a level 50 empath in PI. -.-
