Announcement: Extra MA Arc Slots (NCsoft store item)
Announcement: Extra MA Arc Slots (NCsoft store item)
#1
Good news, we're getting the ability to add more publishing slots for MA arcs.
Bad news - you have to pay for them. Original announcement on the official forums, but the text of Niviene's post is as follows:-
Quote:Attention Heroes and Villains!
We need your help testing a new store feature before it goes live that will allow you to purchase additional Mission Architect story slots (1, 2 or 5 them for $5.99, $9.99, and $19.99 respectively) up to a maximum of eight slots per game account. Head on over to the Training Room server where you can try it out and help us get it ready for launch (don’t worry, you won’t get charged for anything – it’s just a test)! Thanks for the help!

While awesome, and hardly shocking on the payment front, I know a number of authors that already have another five arcs written and ready to go, leaving them
right back where they started.

Awesome, yet still a LITTLE lacking Smile

I understand the need to pay for these things, each arc takes up server space and bandwith, but the rates they are charging seem a little steep.

Well, they're probably chosen for consistency with the extra toon slots options, but given the relative amounts of use a player gets out of each, I have to agree that they seem a bit on the high side. Especially since other players will get the most use out of them, really, and that won't be any different from the way things are now -- we don't pay more, after all, for playing more MA content.

If they're reading here, they're getting more ideas than just that.
