I can DO Vyperpunk if we need the empary (which we likely will need a lot of, at least two) Tish is my badge whore and needs it though. She can buff and do
some serious (not scrapper or blaster serious but pretty substantial) dps at range, healing and buffing melee just fine.

I might, don't quote me on this, but I might be able to get my blaster up to level pretty quickish though likely not till Feb when the family gets in more
linear arrangement. But... I actually like STF. It's a challenge for me and I like those.

What I'd love is to do it multiple times until we get it down well enough to do a Master run for epic gloating rights.

DS: A few blasters. One is never enough. You're a step up from chopped liver. I'd say something like ground beef. =D

We only really need one Emp if we're on the ball from what I've seen. Tish's immob would be vastly useful fighting against GW, too, if we have meele types. If you can immob GW and have the tank hold aggro from range (I cycle Taunt Hurl and my Immob for this) she'll never use her PBAoE heal. Only hiccup with this is if you have Shield Invuln or WP scrappers. Taunt Aura is hell for Tanks. Plus, y'know, Kin and Stone are like PB&J.

The No Temps for the Master run isn't the hard part. The hard part is doing it with no defeats. The Treespec mission and the last fight are the real easy place to die.

I've been skimming over this thread (I'm not entirely sure when it's set to run) but I could bring one of the following:

Fren (for all your AoE fire needs)

Lisa (either straight up rads or with a side of fire)

everyone else I have I don't feel confident enough with to roll with for a MotSTF

Well, we'll likely be doing it a few times before we crank up the Master, though it'd likely be a good Idea to play who you're comfortable with and
get into the groove of things on the first (few) try.

There's not really any set time for it, yet, we're still gathering up people and figuring out what's going on with it.

i think the set time in now sometime in Feb, so we got a month to work out as much as we can.

i'de like to thank all the replys. in all honesty, i wasn't expecting it to get beyond a few maybe's Smile

Edit:

okay, heres a rought of who's someing and with what toons. if i get it wrong, yell at me.

Spud: Rhea

Vyper: Tish?

Ankh: Emet

Ran: Patti

Base: Sil

Me: DS

last two slots.... well, i'm trying my best to think what else we need, Swenos oferd a second Troller or Fender, while Uni offers another Blaster. i guess
the best way to resolve this is to set a deffinet date, and then see who can be on and chose the most useful for it (no offence if i dont chose you, i'm
just trying to figuer out the right balance for this)

Well, I would prefer to bring Riposte along, first and foremost. Not my blaster. I would like to come along, as long as I'm not working when you plan it.
So a time and date would be useful.

Ordinarily I'd say a Blaster is better than a Scrapper for STF, especially given Ghost Widow's "haha I suck your life to heal, haha!" attack,
which she'll spam on foes in melee range. However, Riposte is BS/WP, if I recall correctly... and on top of that, she's tricked out the wazoo. I took
Sammy (Claws/WP) on an STF, and she didn't have any problems until we got triple-teamed by AVs (bad pull). But we nommed GW on a scrapper-heavy team,
because GW couldn't hold us. WP may not be able to resist the 100-mag hold/stun/whatever, but it recovers damned quick and seems to dodge it fairly often.
And Sammy isn't yet tricked out.

I've tangled with Riposte. I suspect her damage output may be higher than the average blaster. Big Grin My opinion is she'd be awesome.

Personally, if we have a different healer along, I'd prefer to bring the blastage. I've run STF enough times on Rhea that it's a bit old...
especially since her job devolves to 'spam heal on tank'. But if we don't have any others in the right level range, I'll bring her anyway. I
think me and Vyper run the only two level-50 Empathy characters in the SG (or associated ones).

HLW runs one but she's got other things on her mind atm.

Ah, right, I forgot. My bad.

... though I'm amused, too, admittedly. She's too busy using the Empathy powerset in real life! ;D

If I can grind out another level or two on cool comfort I'll be happy to fill the healer slot (he's 44 right now)

Well, Fridays are a crapshoot for me as are Saturdays, but that depends on the time it starts as i'm usually hanging out with Dren and Z before we go to
gaming later that night (Assuming it ends up being a gaming night)

Weekend would be best for me, though I could probably manage thursday or monday if we get started early enough to accommodate sleeping.

So call it (inclusive) 30 Jan - 1 Feb and 4 Feb - 7 Feb.

... just occurred to me, but, we'd best make sure we're talking about the same date range here. Because Ye Olde Worlde Clocke tells me that right now,
it's Wed Jan 13 10:40AM for me, but for DS it'd be Thu Jan 14 4:10 (or 4:40, or 5:40, or for Perth, 2:40 -- but all of them are Jan 14, not 13).

Another thought: We might have more than 8 people, so now's the time to make a list. Here's the roles and their possible fillers (only listing what
toons people have volunteered). I'll leave it up to DS to decide who he wants. Just don't choose someone twice, only 8 and all.

-DS (duh)

-Healer (At least 1): Spud - Emerald, Vyp, Sweno - Cool Comfort (maybe), Dren - Melissa

-Tank (1 or 2): Me - Emet (Main), Ops - Demo, Ran - Patti, Uni - Silver, Fox - Wide, Dren (Off Tanks)

-Support: Vyp - Tish (kin), Dren - Shizuru (sonic), Uni - Rainer Ice (cold), Sweno - Gamma or Decay (2
flavors of Rad)

-Scrappers : Uni - Riposte, Spud - Scraps, Atlantea - C8, Fox - Original Foxboy, Base - Sil, Dren -
Plasma

-Blasters: Dren - Rena, Spud - Bill, Uni - Arrow, Sweno - Fren, Sil - Sunspot

Pick Away, oh Fearless leader!

I'd love to get Cyberman 8 in on this. I'd love to have the badge on him. But all he brings to the party is single target damage. Granted, he brings a
METRIC BUTT-LOAD of single-target damage...

I could see a case for you possibly needing Kara Skye more (Holds, buffs, Fulcrum Shift).

I've found Lora'Lai is quite welcome on these big teams as well. Very versatile. Normally she's just straight up ranged damage, but in a pinch can
switch to White Dwarf and provide a serviceable "off-Tank" if needed (got some nice compliments on her performance in that role in the recent
Reichsman TF.)

So -

Cyberman 8 (Scrapper MA/SR)

Kara Skye (Controller Grav/Kinetics)

Lora'Lai (Peacebringer)

C8 would not be bad, he really wouldn't -- assuming he can keep from drawing aggro. So if we're going in with a WP tank, said tank will need to spam
Taunt. I've -seen- what C8 does, and I know whereof you speak when you talk about metric butt-loads of damage. Unfortunately, that also draws buttloads
of hate from the mob Big Grin

He's Super Reflexes, which means that of all the possible scrapper sets, he's got one of the two best for dealing with Ghost Widow. Her PBAoE heal has
a Hit check, so can be dodged -- as far as I know, it's not autohit. (She also has 2 ranged targeted self-heal powers, but the PBAoE is the one that can
screw up your shit, especially on a melee-heavy team). To quote the strategy guide, "The only people attacking her in melee should be scrappers with high
damage output, period. "

The other scrapper set that's ideal for her is WP, because of the mez resist and regen rates. -Any- set can be made to work, but those two have an innate
advantage against GW, is my point.

So I think Cyberman would be fine, myself -- as long as we don't have too many more melee fighters and as long as you can control his aggro.

Adding on filler alts if we need something else more than we need a tank, but I can bring Edge or Nene as well. Sylia's done this TF so many times and is
an aggro magnet, so I'd probably avoid using her if only to make GW a slightly less painful fight.

Invuln, Shield and WP Scrappers tend to draw major aggro due to the inherit taunt in Invince, RttC and AAO. While I can hold aggro with a taunt spam, it is important not to lose aggro for even a few seconds. If GW's target is in rage for her Heal, she'll use it. If the tank Keeps the aggro and keeps out of range (taunt + immob + ranged attacks) GW will never use her heal.

Ideal patron order is left to right (Mako Scorp Sirocco GW), but usually Scorp and Mako tend to come together, as do GW and Sirocco. Double Pulls aren't a great killer if you can keep it focused. I can handle Mako and Scorp with out any issue. With proper heal-y support, GW should be easy enough to hold (ignore her), and Sirocco is a wimp with CM-perception.

Well, somthing else to keep in mind DS, while choosing.

a) We can do multiple runs to include everyone. You woln't be banning someone from the STF.

b) Scheduling might be easier with some more than others. It might help to have some manner of date and/or time, so we know who's around.

A scrapper isn't a TERRIBLE idea just keep it away from GW. They do good on the towers and other baddies including the fliers.

Multiple runs are applicable if we nail one. I'm greedy, the inf is worth it to me.

Still don't have my comp yet, mom's teetering to a point that I'm not sure she wont cop out in the next month or so. Anything I have shipped to me
I'll have to figure out how to get back to AK. I'm kinda holding off making the call till I'm sure she's gonna WANT to fight her diagnosis or
just throw in the towel.
