Spaceships

Is there room to cover them in the tech chapter? In particular, is there room to provide GURPS Spaceships information for the Ulysse Merou, the Wanderer, typical Confederation vessels, and/or the one-Meeran scoutship that brought Ambassador ss'Shemmrar to Earth?

Depends on how many pages they tell me the PDF can be when/if we get to that point of the process, I suppose.

Fair enough. My preliminary work is already running into problems anyway with the different assumptions on spaceship design between Third and Fourth Editions (ship size given in tons of loaded mass rather than cubic yards, the need to think about the placement of ship's systems, the completely custom switches on Confederation stardrives, the fact that the Confederation hyperdrive and the Meeranar warp drive have speeds in fractional parsecs-per-day...).

If an entire section has to be cut, and it's only a few (single-digit) pages in length, it could be turned into a Pyramid article. That's been done before.

I picked up GURPS Spaceships 2: Traders, Liners, and Transports and GURPS Spaceships 5: Exploration and Colony Spacecraft the other day, to see if any of the designs therein might be useful for this. From the former, the TL10^ Prosperity-class heavy star freighter (p.8) strikes me as a good fit for the Confederation, but the exploration book turned out to not have anything I could use for a Meeranar scout ship, so I'm building that one myself, calling it the Friendseeker-class until I can come up with the original Myeerrrarr form of that name. Full stats to follow when I get all the systems in place.
