Song question.
Song question.
#1
Hello, I have just finished reading Drunkards Walk II, and eagerly await the next installment, and I have a question about some songs that I just have to ask.
As I have a rather odd outlook on things I was wondering what the effects of the following songs would be:
Cruel Angel's Thesis - NGE Theme Song
The Prize(Kurgans Theme) by Queen
The Battlehymn of the Republic
I don't know but after seeing that he actually invoked the Fates, the last song there gives my the chills. Thank you for providing such an entertaining hero and story. I'll just fade back into the woodwork again.

You'll have to wait until DW-Eva for that.

I don't know the song off the top of my head, I'd have to go research that.

Oooh. That'd be one of the ones he refuses to play, on the grounds that he knows he doesn't want the most likely outcome...

You're welcome, and thanks for your kind words!

Thank you Bob. [Image: smile.gif] I almost posted exactly that. (Well, My exact words would have been "I think Bob's response will be 'You'll have to wait until DW-Eva for that.'")

Gimme the Prize

The Kurgan's theme was Gimme the Prize, from Queens 'A Kind of Magic' album.
Offhand, it might be crazy if he tried that in Vegas.

Ah, I thank you for the correction on the title I did not have the album handy. The reason that one stuck in my head was the bit "I am the one the only one. I am the god of kingdom come. Gimme the Prize." My twisted little mind came up with several possiblities from that one.

About "Battelhymn of the republic"

In the sadly defunct RPG Paranoia there was a spoof of "Battelhymn...", all I can remember is
that there was a line about tossing nuke grenades and the chorus going:
"Glory, Glory, Hail Computer"
"Glory, Glory, Hail Computer"
"Glory, Glory, Hail Computer"
"My clone keep marching on"
It's bound to do something weird.

I think that's a capsule summary for almost any song, actually.
