Deco For Doug?
Deco For Doug?

Courtesy of the EPU forums, photos of a beautiful http://www.knucklebusterinc.com/feature ... -henderson]1930 Henderson art deco-styled motorcycle.  If DW had been written in 1935, this is what Doug's bike would have looked like.

you know, given its stylings, it looks rather like a grav bike as it is Bob.

maybe he and skuld get carried away and rebuild the outer shell to look like this?

It would be nice, yes, but it would necessitate rewriting a number of scenes in unreleased material.

Clearly a prop from the famous pulp story, "Colonel Sangnoir and the Fussy Belgian." Starring a particularly well-known detective:
"Colonel Sangnoir, Poirot notices things. And the things that he notices about you are most strange. Poirot has let the the little gray cells do their work, and they are telling him that you are far too knowledgeable, far too aware, to be just an American soldier."
I looked down at the little Belgian, who was peering up at me from behind those outrageously waxed moustaches. "Monseiur Poirot," I said, "you have no idea."

"Au contraire, Colonel," replied Poirot. "I have many ideas ... but very little proof. However, I believe that such proof as I need will be forthcoming. Ne c'est pas?"

Given that Doug speaks French, I think it's a natural. You have my blessing should you wish to pursue that line of creativity.

I hadn't intended to, but let me think about it. David Suchet is reprising his role as Poirot on Public Television currently, and it may put me in the right mood.

I suppose that, sadly, nothing ever came of this, did it?

Sadly, no. Life has intruded far too much lately. You can include the snippet as a Stutter, if you like, but I don't foresee any thing else coming of it for the time being.

I understand all too well. Do not consider this any kind of pressure.

Actually I was recently thinking of doing something I had started calling "nanoSteps", which this might be good for...

If the Walk ever called for a massive flashback montage, you could throw a bunch of snippets from all of the stuff mentioned on the forum, as well as the official Steps.

"You're sure he's a good guy?" I asked Eimi.

"Well, this entity cares about the best interests of every lifeform native to this galaxy, so compared to the alternative the answer to that is 'yes'. Besides, he's too powerful a telepath for you to be able to block."

I wasn't sure I liked that answer, but it was probably the best I was going to get. I turned back to the entity. "All right, 'Mentor of Arisia' - look through my memories."

and the flashback snippets begin...

As this thread started out about a motorcycle . . . MonkeyFist sent me this link:
http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/mot ... 10145.html
He asked if Doug needed that bike and commented that he could, probably, build it in Daz, using PowerFusion 3d parts.
I told him "Screw Doug, I want that bike!"

That's a hell of a bike design, I love that look.

Doug's cycle, though -- for reference purposes -- is very much a Bubblegum Crisis design: long (especially compared to here-and-now cycle designs), low, racing style, aerodynamic cowlings over everything (which contributes to the "missile on wheels" look), and a bit on the massive side for a motorcycle.
