I'm catching up on this, and I noticed a slight discrepancy. If Mike Long is 37 years old, like he tells Trish Chabot, then he was 10 years old when he enlisted. JUST CAUSE was 1989-1990, which is 27 years prior to current day.

Maybe he was Big for his age.

I thought all the Teraverse stuff is happening circa 1999 and onward, after the events of The Secret World of Alex Mack, whose last episode was broadcast in 1998?

I am unsure of the timeline, but that would certainly make more sense. Especially if the epilogue for the Hermione stories is the precursor for Harry and Ron meeting Terawatt, which is early in the Alex Mack stories.

Don't they have smartphones and YouTube videos in the story? YouTube was founded in '05.
And if you're going for a timeline consistent with canon, since Potter ended in 1998 that'd mean they were all out of school for only about a year before they meet Terawatt, and that wouldn't give Hermione nearly enough time to get her degrees or for Harry to get all his SAS training and spend significant time in the field.

There's definitely some inconsistency in the stories -- I unintentionally included an anachronism in my own Teraverse tale, with Shar referencing the movie version of How To Train Your Dragon.

The thing is, Alex is what, maybe sixteen or seventeen at the end of the series, and is just starting college at the end of The Secret Return. That's no more than two or maybe, if we're generous, three years. I'd need to go back and reread League of Extraordinary Women to see just how long it took place after the end of TSWoAM, which would give us a better idea. But we can't get around the fact that the "superhero era" of the Teraverse starts in the vicinity of the year 2000, and I doubt any of the stories have pushed the timeline more than three to five years past that.

I'll tell you a secret, the timeline is intentionally screwed up to annoy continuity freaks.
