I notice that the server clock still seems to be on Daylight Savings Time. Is this something that needs manually changing somewhere? It's not a critical issue of course, just a point of curiosity.

Actually it might just be script injection... requires user interaction. Pretty low level vulnerability so far.

Bob,
I've been on your homepage and the forums, and Symantic/Norton is having to block the Bitcoin miner javascript.
Norton is showing PUA.JSCoinminer when accessing both the homepage and the forums. The files are coinhive.min[1].js and worker-asmjs.min[1].js

I still get near 80% CPU usage even with Symantic/Noton blocking them, but fortunately when I close the tab(s) to your pages it stops.
I am about to clear my cache and reattempt accessing your pages...
..And it still happens.

It's been 8 years since the last time I overhauled my website

And I have three weeks before my new job starts to bone up on new web technologies and older ones I've gotten rusty at, like jQuery.
It seems to me that these two things can generate a productive synergy.
So... does anyone have any suggestions for the next generation of www.accessdenied-rms.net? I'd like to have a reason to make the site more dynamic/responsive, but I need something that actually improves it.

Broken IST Page link

Bob, looks like the IST page is missing. I found the problem by going to the http://www.accessdenied-rms.net/dw-fics.shtml]DW fanfic page and clicking on the link in the Crossroads blurb.

I was looking for the other fics in that 'Verse as I seemed to remember you had the links on that (the IST) page.

EDIT: Sorry, looks like the link is incorrect as I got to it via the menus. The link on the DW fanfic page ends in .html while the working link ends in .shtml. Updated thread title.

I'll check again later to see if the problem persists (cause maybe you're updating/editing/doing something with it yourself), but I thought I'd mention it in case it's something wonky.

Why the hell was chapter 11 of DW2 the fifth most-viewed page on my website in May? 554 hits -- almost the same as the site's top page. And none of the other chapters come even close.
There must have been something people were looking for last month that pulled up that page on search results by mistake. That's the only thing I can think of.
Apropos of nothing, looking at the rest of the list of most-viewed pages is amusing for the large number of obviously automated attempts made to find files and directories that could be hacked but which simply don't exist on the site. Stuff like "signup.php", "registration_rules.asp", "/member/reg.php", "/user/password" and "wp-login.php". Keep tryin', boys, maybe one of them will spontaneously evolve out of random electrons and you'll be rewarded for all your honest effort.

Misbehaving webring?

Hey Bob, twice now on two different machines I've been redirected to the FFML webring homepage when clicking on a link on your site -- an internal link, I mean, not one of their links. I can't seem to reproduce it on command, but both times it's been when I first clicked on the Miscellanea menu link at the top.

Not sure if I'm just lucky or what, but thought you should know.

If it matters: both machines run Chrome as the browser, but everything else, including OS, is different.

I note that you seem to have moved the rotating titles (or at least some subsets thereoff) to the sub pages for each section. However, the 'top' page for DW 2 does not, from what I could see, seem to be generating its semi random quote/quip correctly. Not sure why, but thought I'd let you know (might also just be that whatever is happening is only happening in Firefox)
