Folks, "rivals seek advantage" is a natural consequence of the current administration's policy of reducing its own influence around the globe. It's far too late to complain about that now.
If anything, telling rivals to back off indicates weakness they can exploit. You wouldn't tell them that unless you are trying to cover for a weakness.
The scary part is I can easily see Trump launching a war at the slightest provication in an attempt to distract from his leadership failures at home. And as I've heard, Presidental popularity rates tend to rise during wars and he's desperately trying to make himself look better before the next election

Speaking of the worst government in the world, there are a lot of rumours that Kim Jong Un is on his deathbed right now. As usual for this thing, reports from the People's Republic of Best Korea are notoriously unreliable.
And he's now signing an executive order stopping all immigration. A move that won't influence the spread of COVID at all, but will make foreign people suffer, so his cultists will love it.

North Korea is notoriously an information black hole. Anything could happen, good or bad, and they'd try to keep a lid on it.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if North Korea took a massive population hit if COVID-19 got into their population.

The ones most likely to follow this instruction are the President's followers. Most of whom are highly vulnerable to any epidemic, never mind one that hits the old and the poor harder.
Do not be surprised if by early May Georgia's medical system buckles under the impact of a new wave of COVID-19 patients, at a time effective treatments are still not available, and other states still have no spare capacity as at best they are recovering at the tail end of their own epidemic and cannot assist. In fact, if the epidemic grows quickly enough in Georgia, I wouldn't be surprised if neighbouring states closed down major traffic routes out of Georgia to protect themselves.
Like I was about to post, it'll be -- among other things, most of them bad -- a self-correcting problem. It's amazing that these Republican governors are either so short-sighted (or ignorant) that they don't realize that it's their own most fervent supporters that they're putting at greatest risk.
