I always have to laugh when I see one of those musical Tesla coil videos -- Playing with lightning is cool of course, but it just about breaks the pin on the Awesome But Impractical meter as a way to simulate kids jamming on kazoos.

I wonder if this would do anything for Doug?
...I hesitate to speculate. Sorry, I find it so bad that I doubt Doug would ever want to try it.
It is super-cheeseball, that's for sure. Fair enough if the cringe factor outweighs (in-genre) historical significance; at best 'quirky charm' is highly subjective. IIRC you've said that superhero comics never took off in Warrior's world, so it wouldn't even have the cultural weight for him anyway.

Though a set of 60s Avengers weeble-wobbles/boxing dummies could be fun to deploy in certain situations, or other gadgets like you might imagine from the mail order ad copy in old comic books and then be horribly disappointed when your small and flimsy new $4.95 "treasure" arrived. Why, that could be almost a whole month's allowance even before 25¢ shipping and handling!

I've been grooving along to this for a couple hours, so I'm just going to link the playlist. It's 'epic cinematic instrumental style' pop covers from a London trio calling themselves L'Orchestra Cinématique. They also have a dozen or so other playlists on various themes, invluding Halloween and Christmas music.
