Now all I need is either someone else to sculpt Ms. Hepburn's face or somehow find time to sculpt it myself, and I can create a model of noted Blue Blazer "Holly G."...

I forget - was somebody looking to 'wave http://www.sharecg.com/v/53287/browse/1 ... -64-Apache]an attack helicopter?

Knowing what happens with handwavium and Fen, it might turn out like http://www.sharecg.com/v/53298/browse/1 ... 2A-AIRWOLF]this copter, though. (Heh - I can't help but be amused by the history of the original after the show went out of production... but, hey, if we really need to 'wave a German ambulance helicopter, we know what one looks like now.)

Oh! http://www.sharecg.com/v/53294/browse/1 ... SA-Shuttle]There's more than one way to reach orbit with a 'waved Shuttle - launch it from the back of a 747 in flight!

The Enterprise got some today!  Good for you, Enterprise!
(Hey, I'm a pervert, what do you want?)
Heh. My Aunt actually has some old photos of a shuttle ridding piggy-back from when one such arrangement took a pit stop at Kelly AFB for a while. I remember my mom taking me out to the outskirts of the airfield just so we could get a distant look at it. I was about four or five at the time.
Probably a silly question, considering TSAB and the Roughriders, but does anyone in Fenspace fly an F/A-18E?

No, not really. I would think they'd be tough to get ahold of, even post OGJ.

As we know from experience getting a live-sized model made from plastic/wood/metal and a lot of Handwavium might be easily enough to get a space capable F/A-18. Wink

I'm a bit surprised no one's thought of waving the F-104, myself. It is, after all, called the Starfighter.
Oh God, my brain....:
"Nice jet. Very classic."
"Thanks. It's the last one that could still fly."
"Impressive. So, what brings you up to the Fenspace?"
"Well ... you could say I was recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Empire."
"... Well, I can't say I didn't ask for it."
"No, no you can't."

OH HELL YEAH. Ben will personally deliver a signed invitation for this person to join the Roughriders.
So long as we're talking fighter jets, does anybody else think the F-14 Tomcat is the right place to start if you want a Transformer frame or a Valkyrie-style transforming fightercraft? It's already variable-geometry...

And Skull Squadron does exist. (Probably showing my anime history there; I always think "Robotech" instead of "Macross.")

For this thread, if you want a particular jet, make sure you can point me at a mesh for it...
Quick look through ShareCG for attack aircraft: Anything else, you'll have to post the link for.

(Or, of course, you could spin this off into another thread...)

Uhm, yes.
GSS has already done this, with the passive connivance of the US gov't. (Mostly consisting of the words, "Don't get caught", followed by a running gunfight with Iranian thieves in the boneyard.)

Sucrose Octanitrate.
Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode.
I knew I remembered that from somewhere ( the original convention thread maybe?), but I don't think it made it to the wiki.  Glad to know I'm not delusional.  Or at least in good company.

Found some more: No Tomcats, but at least I can illustrate Ebony's idea. And, hey - two versions of the P-51 Mustang!

Those are free - this costs $18:

On a related model note, since I'm unable to figure out how to unwrap the Gagarin model for UV mapping, I'm putting it up for anybody else to take a whack here. Have fun.

That Gally one is epic, especially the lips. They get it just right.

He's been busy (and, with this number of releases, he has to be converting existing models rather than making his own) - B5 Babylon 5 and Warlock, Stargate Stargate, Goa'uld Ha'tak Mothership, and Death Glider, oBSG Cylon Base Star and Cylon Raider, nBSG Battlestar Pegasus, Viper, and Cylon Raider, and Space:1999 Eagle, Hawk, and Moonbase Alpha.

So... we still haven't provided any sort of description to the frakkin' toasters' station at L5, something the size of a Base Star won't be very fast with a Fenspace 'waved drive, and we now have a Base Star model... Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
