Well, Jackie Chan Adventures starts with Shendu, a dragon-demon sealed in statue form.

When he gets blown up, he turns out to be one of 8 demon sorcerers, and each of the other 7 takes a turn at being unsealed as the monster of the week before being resealed.

One season is spent dealing with Oni generals sealed in masks.

And the crew keeps stumbling over lesser sealed evils. (Spring Heel Jack, Chi Vampire, Monkey King, etc.)

No, I don't believe the world has gone mad.  In order for it to go mad it would need to have been sane at some point.
Isn't that a trope in and of itself? Where they keep on trying to come up with stuff to keep the series going while reusing the same damn formula? Seems almost like Status Quo Is God, but not quite.
That would appear to be Strictly Formula.

I suppose that Sealed Evil in a Soda Machine would be what happens when Sealed Evil in a Can and Strictly Formula are both in play over multiple story arcs.

In an effort to bring this thread back on track...

... Richard B. Riddick... on the world of Pandora from Borderlands.

The term 'Fits like a glove' comes to mind here.
Would that be the movie Riddick, the Undocumented Features Riddick, or both? Smile
Movie!Riddick... But the UF!Riddick can be in there too, just for laughs.
Hm, I just realised that Raising Heart's shooting mode looks quite a bit like a Mass Effect relay on a stick, especially the Omega-4 relay with its red core. It's thin, but more justification than a lot of crossovers have.

Koro sensei of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom) replaces Haruna Sakurada at Juuban Middle School...after Kuro-sensei blew up the moon.
For those who have not seen the anime yet
You now have a non-hentai tentacled being in a magical girl show..legitimately.

Miyafuki Yoshika stopped on the way to port to speak to Sakamoto Mio about her father when she heard the mental cry of a injured ferret in need of help.
Engrossed in arrangements to travel to Britannia on the Akagi - and then by the chores on the ship she volunteered herself for, it's a day or two before Yoshika finds out the ferret is called Yuuno, a magical archeologist who's on Earth to recover magical Jewel Seeds. As Yuuno's injured, would Yoshika please take up Yuuno's magical device Raising Heart and help protect people by recapturing the Jewel Seeds?

Fortunately the Akagi is heading to the rough area of the world where the Jewel Seeds landed - Yuuno crashed well outside the area leading to the aforementioned injuries.

I'm sure the 501st will love Yoshika's pet... and Yuuno would like to know who categorised Earth as 'low in magic users'!

Ooh, I like that one. The TSA will be pretty horrified at the proliferation of mass weapons among a magic-using civilization, though, considering their history. I suppose you were firguring the Neuroi for some form of Lost Logia, where each of them have a Shining Dodecahedron core somewhere? They'dbe somewhere between the Relics and synthetic beings like Unison Devices and Guardian Knights, I guess...

Baccano and Sandman.

Because Issac and Miria would really get on with Death.
Both of these are fanfics I nearly ended up writing.

1. The Chicago PD has been getting a number of alarming reports about the animatronics at a Chuck E. Cheese knock-off. With some reluctance, Captain Furillo of the Hill Street precinct calls Lieutenant Murphy from the Office of Special Investigations, and they set up a joint investigation. Furillo provides one of his most experienced undercover officers, while Murphy sends a 'civilian consultant' who specialises in this sort of thing.

Mick Belker and Harry Dresden are spending Five Nights At Freddy's.

2. The crew of Serenity are dropping off some mostly-legal cargo on a border moon when a mysterious, incredibly advanced yet extremely battered spacecraft crash-lands there. Drafted into the search-and-rescue effort, they eventually begin to suspect that while the ship is of human origin, it wasn't built anywhere in this solar system, and the enigmatic Sheriff Blake seems to know rather more than he's telling about what's actually going on...

I didn't have a firm idea what the Neuroi would be in context, other than that their getting tangled up in a Jewel Seed would be Double-Plus UnGood.
Also the possibility of some time post 'Warlock' that someone in authority asks what Raising Heart is.

"Someone tried adapting Neuroi technology again. The last time that happened, it went rogue and we had to destroy it, this time they just assigned us to over-see it directly." And then see various Allied projects get squirrelly as they try to work out who else has a secret project and somehow managed to get the support of the Witches as well.

I like this idea.
I can imagine the Witch-type Neuroi getting ahold of a Jewel Seed.  And Pinochio suddenly comes to mind.  A somewhat dark and twisted version of it at that.  She wants to be a real girl, and she gets her wish.  Interesting thing is that it's such a straight-foward and power-intensive wish that the Jewel Seed doesn't mess it up... And it's going to be a controversial matter for both TSAB and the governments of Earth - you gonna take away the thing that makes this obviously sapient, self-aware, and self-determining life-form the thing that gives it 'life'?
For that matter, the Witch-types have only appeared in the first place when a hive wants to make diplomatic contact, so messing with one means you're also sabotaging the best chance of turning the war from a slow grind of attrition into something that can actually end, or even be won.

I motion that Drakensis start a brainstorming thread for this fic, forthwith! Even if he cannot write it right now, we can still lay down the major plot elements via brainstorming!
Eh, no need to force it, if it doesn't want to flow. I'd be happy to bounce ideas around if it is helpful, of course.

I'm missing this one. Who is "Sheriff Blake" supposed to be?

Sucrose Octanitrate.
Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode.

At a guess, Roj Blake - from Blake's Seven.
Jinx999 is right.
just for a kick in the seat of things, let's have a certain Lyrical Magic Girl, "Befriend" a Fog Fast Battleship.
Just for S&G let have Ranma, fall into the Cursed Spring of the Drowned Mental Model.

Ranma: Just how do you get a battle ship to drown any ways?

Haruna in Denial: I sank here after getting hit by a girl with purple hair. Mental Models do not drown.

Of course it doesn't have to be any particular Fog Battleship.
My name is Shinoko Aburame, and I am going to tell you a story.

You see, my name wasn't always Shinoko. If you asked anyone around
me, they would tell you that I have always been 'Shinoko'. They could
take you to my twin brother, or my parents, and they would tell you
'yes, that's Shinoko. She was born in Konoha Hospital on the 23rd of
January. I should know, I was there'.

And its true. I was born Shinoko Aburame, daughter to Shibi and
Asami Aburame, younger sister to Shino Aburame by thirty minutes.

But I was someone else before that.

Tentatively, I'll say I was reincarnated. Even now, I'm not sure I
believe it. Maybe this is just some illusion that my mind has cooked
up - either before or after. I don't know. What I do know, is that it
feels real. So I decided to live as though it was. If it's
fake, then I have lost nothing.

As far as reincarnations go, well, I can't tell you if it's a step
up or a step down. The violence and conspiracies seemed closer to the
surface here, but less desperate than before.

I mean, in the stories, bad people are always reincarnated as ants
and then stepped on, right?

I don't know. I also don't know why I remembered. But I
have suspicions. I was hardly an average person. I left outstanding
legacies but had committed unutterable crimes. When I died, I don't
know how many people mourned to sighed in relief. I'm not the kind of
person people would have liked to rely on to save the world. Maybe some
god up there has a weird sense of humour. Maybe it was just an
accident.

I wish I could believe that explanation.

But like I said before, I was born to Shibi and Asami Aburame in
the Konoha General Hospital on the 23rd of January as the younger of
twins. It sounds so amazing when said like that. A spiritual miracle.
The truth was, at the time I had no idea what was happening. I was
twisted and squeezed and the comforting darkness in which I had
rested was torn away. There was pain and cold and terror. There was
immediacy. Things that hadn't seemed important were suddenly at the
forefront of my mind; what had happened; where was I; was I alive or
dead, hurt or injured; what was going on? I could feel the insects
around me, but the sensation was strange and control slipped through
my grasp.

I was scared. Terrified. I didn't know what was happening. I could
hear, yes, but not understand what was being said. Had the shots
given me brain damage? Did I have aphasia? The thought worried me.
Being trapped with no method of communication to the world around me
would be a solid B on the terrifying fate scale.

But even that didn't explain everything. I was lifted and carried.
I've always been tall and even brute strength wouldn't explain the
ease with which I was lifted or how I was being carried. I suppose I
must have been held in the crook of someone's arm, but I could make
no sense of the sensations at the time. It didn't fit.

Of course, just when I was beginning to regain control of my body
and get used to the strange insects around me, That Event happened. I
was nine months old when the Kyuubi attack happened. It was nameless
and faceless to me, and that only made it worse. It was like the
devil had opened the gates of hell and breathed terror into the air.
It was a sensation I was all too familiar with.

Endbringer.
NICE.

Fund it!
The Doctor gets two new travelling companions: Ami Mizuno and Ryo Urawa. Because Ami had a temporalspatial crack in her bedroom wall, and had to poke it with her Science Stick, and Ryo saw what was coming and tried to stop it.

And over time, they keep travelling with him intermittently, b/c what with Senshi Problems, their time on the TARDIS is about the only "couple time" they get to have.

It turns out Ami has a real fetish for men in Roman Legion uniforms ("It's the armored kilt-things, they just... oh, RYO!")

And the reason that Setsuna became Sailor Pluto is that she's their daughter, conceived aboard the TARDIS and given a lot of pre-natal exposure to its energies ("Complex genetic effects from the interactions of Precog genes, Senshi magic, and Time-Wimey energies? Bollocks! Obviously it's because of those games you two played with my Sonic Screwdriver -- do you have any idea how long it took me to properly sterilize it afterwards?")

(this is a tiny call-back to another fic, whose title escapes me, where Setsuna was Ami's daughter and basically kidnapped her infant self to send back to the Silver Millenium to close the Predestination Paradox of her existence)

Setsuna's a bit obsessed with the Doc, after all her time spent alone guarding the Time Gates during the Interregnum (he was the only person who could visit her), but now that she's back out in the world with people she's getting better about that. Still insists that they're married, though, which he denies, in a "Methinketh the Time Lord doth protest too much" sort of way. The Senshi are a rather bemused (and amused) by how her usual calm, detached demeanor just dissolves whenever he comes around, though.

"You... piloted the TARDIS? HOW?!? Humans can't do that!"
"Oh, sweetie... Mon's smarter than you are, Dad's a precog, and I'm at least half a Time Lord myself. It wasn't that hard. Besides, she likes me -- I'm the only woman who's never had a problem sharing you with her."

(So, yeah, this started as an Ami/Amy thing, and just grew from there. On the one hand, the Doctor/Ponds arc was great. But on the other, I can see so much wacky fun changing it up like this).
