All of this talk about shipgirls made me realize that somewhere out there is a John McCain-chan.

A man gets a mysterious notebook, where any name written in it gets eternal life.  But the Life Note only opens once a year.  Oh wait, this one's already been done.  

Well, then how about a man who gets a Gift Note, where every person written in the book gets a present once a year, so long as there are two checkmarks next to that person's name.  Wait, that one's been done too?  All of the good ideas have already been taken.

We've switched Lina Inverse (Slayers) with Lena "Tracer" Oxton (Overwatch).  Let's see what happens in both continuities...

Shit in Overwatch-verse is about to get a helluva lot more explodey.

I'm not sure that turning the whole area of engagement to ash counts as a win. I mean, for example doesn't escort missions require the escorted item to... you know... survive?

You talk as if Miss Inverse has no control in spell casting at all.  Evidence points toward her having plenty of control. She just happens to like making big Booms.
