Hi,

it seems I am unable to post on Dartz "we need a bigger boat" thread... every times I try to post something there I get the following error:

  Chapter Three Is Now Up
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 02-15-2014, 04:50 AM - Forum: Drunkard's Walk VIII: Harry Potter and the Man from Otherearth - Replies (70)

Read it here.

Oh, and I made some kind of markup error in the concordance page, and haven't been able to figure out what it is yet -- except to determine that it's unrelated to the new entries for Chapter 3.  I'm working on figuring out just what I did, and in the mean time, please do not feel the need to inform me that everything is black text on dark green background.  Thank you.

OOC: http://drunkardswalkforums.yuku.com/topic/9467]Dartz did one of these a year and a half ago; it's high time we had another. I'm not (purposefully) going to telegraph which character is answering the questions, though; let's see who can figure that out first.

Submitted (06/06/2016) by "A StellviaCorp Shareholder (ASCS)"

I am a shareholder in Stellvia Corporation, which means I am one of the higher-ups in that company.

While I have to be careful about trade secrets, I should be able to answer in general terms questions about how we operate, what life is like for those of us in the "inner circle" of one of the top three companies in space, the president's recent decisions to distance the company from politics and active military activities, and how we're dealing with in-system and interstellar exploration. Personal questions might or might not be answered. I have promised the moderators that this will not be a platform to promote StellviaCorp, but I trust you understand I'm not going to bad-mouth the company I work for, either.

Proof of my identity has been provided to the moderators, including the origin IP of my posts.

Vanessa Mae is in the Olympics ( :O )
Posted by: Logan Darklighter - 02-14-2014, 05:17 AM - Forum: General Chatter - No Replies

Color me GOBSMACKED but I just found out that Vanessa Mae - yes - THAT Vanessa Mae - the violinist/crossover artist - is skiiing the downhill slalom for Thai in the Sochi Olympics under her fathers name Vanakorn.
So if you see a Vanessa Vanakorn from Thai doing the downhill slalom at the Olympics and you think she looks a little familiar? Well there's a reason for that.

I think her coolness factor just shot into the freaking stratosphere. She's certainly qualified for Blue Blaze Irregular status with Buckaroo Banzai. Now if she turns her mind to science, she's a shoe-in for the Hong Kong Cavaliers proper! ^_^

Sid Caesar is dead; and nearly a month before the ides of March.  In Comedy, timing is everything.
Easily my favorite performance was his brilliant caveman from Mel Brook's History of the World Part I

  Either madness or mad genius
Posted by: LilFluff - 02-13-2014, 12:14 AM - Forum: Other People's Fanfiction - Replies (32)

So I've been enjoying some of the 'Dungeon Crawler' fics posted on Spacebattles. A guy dropped into Sailor Moon with abilities based on an Anima character build out. A guy dropped into the Buffy universe in the guise of one of his Champions character builds. One of our own, Vulpine Fury, has Giving It the Old College Try, in which a guy finds himself at Illuminati University with abilities based on a GURPS build...
Watching these I've been getting tempted to try one too. Only I've been getting tempted to try doing one in which the system and setting are mismatched. Like say Buffy & Golden Sky Stories, or Worm and Toon (well, at least a Toon character would have a survival advantage in the Worm universe). As the title says, it seems to me this is either madness or mad genius.
