A peer-reviewed study in the Journal
of Geophysical Research presents with the following abstract:
Quote: Time series for the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) and global tropospheric temperature anomalies (GTTA) are compared for the 1958-2008 period. GTTA are
represented by data from satellite microwave sensing units (MSU) for the period 1980-2008 and from radiosondes (RATPAC) for 1958-2008. After the removal from
the data set of short periods of temperature perturbation that relate to near-equator volcanic eruption, we use derivatives to document the presence of a 5-
to 7-month delayed close relationship between SOI and GTTA. Change in SOI accounts for 72% of the variance in GTTA for the
29-year-long MSU record and 68% of the variance in GTTA for the longer 50-year RATPAC record. Because El Niño-Southern Oscillation is known to
exercise a particularly strong influence in the tropics, we also compared the SOI with tropical temperature anomalies between 20°S and 20°N. The results showed that SOI accounted for 81% of the variance in tropospheric temperature anomalies in the tropics. Overall the
results suggest that the Southern Oscillation exercises a consistently dominant influence on mean global temperature, with a maximum effect in the tropics,
except for periods when equatorial volcanism causes ad hoc cooling. That mean global tropospheric temperature has for the last 50 years fallen and risen in
close accord with the SOI of 5-7 months earlier shows the potential of natural forcing mechanisms to account for most of the temperature variation.
Eighty-one percent of temperature "anomalies" attributed directly to natural forces, a maximum of 19% - and probably less - attributable
to human
doings.
You asked for peer-reviewed science, you got it.

Since the CoH forums are down, I'll ask here.... and yes *sheepish look* long time no see, been extremely busy.
Shader here,
Anyway, I'm after information on the Jade Spider AV. In particular its attacks.
I've heard that Jade Spider on the Mender Silos Task Force can be a bit of a pain to defeat... which is what I'm looking for. I'm hoping to combine
it with Lucas (IP squid) (with a twist) for a RP-thing that's going on atm, but never having actually done the Mender Silos Task Force... its an area where
my knowledge of the game is a little thin on the ground. Anyone here able to help?
Any help - how it attacks, what sort of damage, etc would be helpful. Normal sources (Wiki and RedTomax) are not being helpful.
Thanks.

I'm watching through the History Channel's "Dogfight" series and the "Long Odds" episode is definitely a favorite episode.
Especially the part concerning the dogfight of Stanley "Swede" Vejesta (VS-5) flying a SBD-3 dive bomber against 3 Zeros. 25 minutes (an eternity) of
dogfighting....and downing all 3 Zeros. The last one by accidental ramming. He later got transferred to fighters aboard the Enterrpise. His encore performance
was on 26 October' 42 during the Battle of Santa Cruz. Shot down 2 fighters and 5 torpedo bombers in a single day. Definitely awe inspring.

So after I got up and showered this morning, I turned on the computer to check the weather while I shaved.
And my monitor insisted it wasn't connected to anything, so it had nothing to show me. Blinking blue power light, no messages, no glow of a
"black" screen, nothing.
I didn't have the time to troubleshoot it this morning, so I'll have to jump on it when I get home tonight. Dunno what I'll learn, but just in
case, be prepared to see my Net access somewhat restricted for a few days at least.

The Register: AT&T blocks 4chan
If this is true - and that's a mighty big "if" - and if AT&T is doing it on purpose - and that's an even bigger "if" - then wouldn't choosing which traffic to carry put AT&T's "common carrier" status at risk? This has to be either a prank or a mistake on somebody's part.
