Mahoromatic - ordnance11 - 04-08-2004 oops....sorry about that....but that wasn't the end of the story though. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! Never turn Yes, it's into the fire we fly And the devil will burn! - Scarlett Pimpernell Re: Jem and the Holograms - Disruptor - 04-08-2004 Quite a bit actually. There is no way Jem can be shown on the air now. I forgot how much I loathed Eric Raymond. At the end of the 5th episode of Jem, he backhanded Jerica Benton in the face. Of course he got punched out by Rio shortly afterwards. But still.... As to the songs, well I'm not sure how a lot of songs would react to Doug's powers. I only wish the songs were longer. OR they came out with a record or tape(now CD) with extended versions of the songs played in the TV series EDIT-ADD If you don't mind downloading zip files of songs www.jemunlimited.com/jemmusic.htm -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor Re: Jem and the Holograms - Bob Schroeck - 04-09-2004 I'll have to take a look tonight when I get home. Any recommendations? I know nothing of their oeuvre. -- Bob --------- There's no wrong way to eat a Rhesus. Re: Jem and the Holograms - Disruptor - 04-09-2004 After unzipping, they are in MP2 format. As to songs: Music is Magic She's Got the Power Let The Music Play Shangra-la Time is Running Out Deception Freind or Stranger At the bottom, there are links to other areas with more songs. I've just been too busy the last few days. Maybe tonight, if I can squeeze the time in. -- Bob --------- There's no wrong way to eat a Rhesus. Re: Jem and the Holograms - Disruptor - 04-12-2004 The songs aren't that long. Shangri-la is only a minute. The longest i can recall was only one minute and forty seconds long. It's just that there is so many songs. ~160 different songs I hope you enjoy your musical excursion into Jem -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor Re: Jem and the Holograms - classicdrogn - 04-13-2004 Unfortunately, even the 'high quality' ones sound like they're under water, but there's a few good enough to make up for it. Hanaukyo Maid Tai OP - ordnance11 - 04-17-2004 Bob, sorry it took so long to send off the OP. I found out I had to clear about 3 years of saved messages from my email account to even begin to send any file larger than 1 mb! The middle of the song had an interesting arabian theme and at 2:38 mark it sounds like everybody coming from parade rest to attention..must be Konai's work! ^_^ __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Holy Crap! - Disruptor - 04-17-2004 Quote:You are NOOO fun. ^_^ I mean Stong Bad all these songs he has sung, and you won't touch one of them. ^_^ They even have a CD for saale on the site with his songs on it. At any rate, how about Hong Kong Phooey? Doug expects the classic version, and instead he gets this: www.cartoonnetwork.com/wa...index.html -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor Re: Shenzen Special Economic Zone Phooey - cpt kangarooski - 04-18-2004 Well, I'd imagine that the especially unnerving part of any HB world would be the especially vague backgrounds. In fact probably only Jay Ward cartoons would be worse. A quick visit to Free Country, USA would be fun, however. Re: Shenzen Special Economic Zone Phooey - Bob Schroeck - 04-19-2004 I couldn't get that Hong Kong Phooey flash thing to run on my machine; well, not even run -- it didn't seem to download properly, and I'm not sure why. -- Bob --------- There's no wrong way to eat a Rhesus. Phooey . .. - Foxboy - 04-19-2004 Imagine what HKP would have been like if they had taken the premise SERIOUSLY. Instead of being a bungling Clousseau-type of character, he's more of a Jet Li or Steven Seagall . . . Still, it's fun to watch. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll Re: Phooey . .. - Star Ranger4 - 04-19-2004 Yeah... but he's only that way after he's jumped into the file cabinet. Until he does, he's more like... um.. hmm. Trying to think of a good match. He's clearly got more on the ball than you'd think, but he's got no fighting skills."I was an Otaku before those kids came along and changed the meaning of the word." -- HM "Howling Mad" Wilson to more than one team-mate.
