Just when did "Boogaloo" become synonymous with "Second American Civil War"? - robkelk - 07-01-2020

And how the hell did it spread to Canada?

Quote:But online, the nascent movement has inspired at least two Facebook pages where followers have recently talked about killing protesters and RCMP officers alike.

Assuming they're posting under their real names? This right there should disqualify them from owning anything more dangerous than a spud gun. Depending on how, you know Canada does it. I mean, I assume you's aren't like the States on that in that there's some semblance of sense

It's probably from TV Tropes, the whole idea of a sequel being "Electric Boogaloo".

As a frequent aloha shirt wearer, I'm starting to worry if I'm going to have to change my wardrobe because of these goons.  Admittedly, it looks different without the guns, but please, think of the Parrotheads!

Real name or pseudonym - Facebook can and does track their posting so that they can deliver targeted advertising, and I'd be very surprised of FB can't tie that to an IP address. If anybody involved in the groups breaks the law, they become a terrorist group (see here) and it's simply a matter of a couple of warrants (one to Facebook, one to the ISP) to get the terrorists' identities.

And, yes, one needs a license to own a firearm in Canada. Here's the relevant legislation.
