Help finding old show from quote - please
Help finding old show from quote - please

Hi all. I have a friend who is going crazy trying to find the source of a quote that is featured in the OST for the video game Deathsmiles.
The quote is as follows:
"The mind of man rests on a delicate
balance between reality, the world of light, and the other darker world
below the threshold of consciousness... and it is from this world of
darkness which comes the evil destructive forces in man's nature."

It can be heard sampled in the following YouTube clip from a band called Conception from Norway.
Conception
If you happen to know where this quote is from it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Fenian

googleing on the first phrase indicates that your are not the first one to ask.
So far I'm seeing three answers, all of which have people arguing for and against them:
The Tingler (imdb)
The twilight zone
Tales from the Dark Side (television series)
-Terry
-----
"so listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing to happen to you today"

Might have been used in Twilight Zone, but I'd put my money on Tales, it fits better.

Not the opening to Tales for sure

PErhaps an episode tag/stinger?

Could be from one of the pre-X-Files Urban Weirdness shows. Kolchak the Night Stalker comes to mind as an example.

It sounds like the season one opening for Twilight Zone (The '59 one with Rod Serling), but it isn't the same.

Might have been an episode opener, but it was never the actual Opening dialog. That was always "you are entering another dimension..."

So you're part of that contest, eh?
I'd recommend finding movie/TV buffs IRL.  I tried looking online, and I don't see anything on it, except your friend asking the question.

Sounds like an opening narration from The Outer Limits, either version.

Outer Limit was "Do not attempt to Adjust your TV" I thought...

Yeah, I know. I was talking about the opening dialogue they start every episode with. Those pieces of philosopical wisdom that don't really hit us in the face till five minutes until the end?
