Chapter 1 of Gardening Leave is now posted to AO3.

The story is still in the process of being outlined, let alone written (it has a beginning and an ending; it just needs some middle), so I can't yet be sure how many chapters there will be. Definitely more than three chapters, though.

The discussion in the sauna got me wondering what's the nearest nude/naturist/CO beach to Ottawa, and a quick Google search found it. That site could come in handy if anyone ever wants to make the same determination for the other residences; it confirmed the nature of one beach I saw on the map for the Beach House, back when the Maps extension was still enabled. (Would Nikki be the sort to go there, with or without Sammie?)

Also, I didn't want to call you out on this in AO3 comments, but those are katakana, not kanji.

Sandy Hook - Gateway National Recreation Area is the closest one to Douglass Gardens (at about an hour away), and there has long been a little snippet in one of my dev files about the K-On! girls discussing going there... with Mio being very enthusiastically against the idea. Dunno if it'll ever get used...

Sandy Hook - Gateway National Recreation Area is the closest one to Douglass Gardens (at about an hour away), and there has long been a little snippet in one of my dev files about the K-On! girls discussing going there... with Mio being very enthusiastically against the idea.

Yeah, the options for the rest of Hokago Tea Time would be to stay home in solidarity with Mio, to go without her and feel bad about it, or to {drag;bring} her along and risk her putting the "mort" in mortifying.

Dunno if it'll ever get used...

I'll be all right if it doesn't, but after reading the sauna scene, I trust you to handle the HTT scene just as tastefully if you decide to use it. (Though, talking of tastefully, if the Hangar crew ever decide to try their nearest beach, the need to leave Kurz home should be as obvious as the need to prepare for Sosuke... actually, knowing him as I do*, he could with equal plausibility treat it as stealth training, as wilderness survival, or just as another mission whose purpose he doesn't understand.)
