generic'ed!
07-27-2010, 10:43 PM
so my semi joke character (bat butt) got generic'ed today. Because of the bat-girl-alike costume she had.
And (given the joke nature of the toon) I'm not sure if I want to bother submitting replacement names.
But we have a derth of TA/Arch fenders.
So anyone know of a good archery related name that's free?

I'm fond of "Suitable Female Name- Fletcher"
But lessee. Bodkin, Willow Leaf, Clothyard, Yew Stave, Splitshaft, Local Twang... hmmm.

when your name used to be bat-butt, having a inouendo ladend name might be a step up

And the worst part is those are all related to archery.
Clothyard refers to a type of arrow regardless of the arrowhead
Yew Stave refers to the famous English Longbow
Splitshaft would be the impossible Robin Hood feat of splitting an arrow already in a bullseye
Local Twang is a regional patois or lingo but can imply the sound of a released bowstring

And if you damage the end of the arrow you can drop by Ye Olde Nocking shoppe.... They'll even wax your string, straighten your shaft and if you swing that way, mount your piles. Don't worry, whatever they do, it ends up in a quiver.
*sprays coffee at the screen and fall sout of his chair laughing* best way to start the day, thanks Rev

Just be careful around Ms. Fletcher, because as a standup comedian once said, wherever that little white woman goes, somebody dies.

If Batbutt got Generic'd, I fear for Exy's namesake.

my mistake was letting other people see the 'batgirl-look-alike' costume.
As far as I know, Exy doesn't have a costume, and therefore it would be hard to say she infringes.
