Evangelion Codec Help?
Evangelion Codec Help?
#1
So I downloaded a sub of Rebuild of Evangelion 01 here (search for
evangelion_rebuild) and ran into problems almost immediately.

It seems that the subtitles are designed to be read using Windows Media Player, but I don't have whatever codec would make this one work and also have no
clue as to how to figure out which one to get. (I thought I was up to date, but it would appear otherwise.) It'll play under VLC Media Player, but the
subs are all wonky and in many cases completely illegible -- black text on black background, yay.

Can anyone assist with this conundrum? ^.^

CCCP: Complete Community Codec Pack. Worked wonders for me.

Installing CCCP didn't work, but switching to Media Player Classic did. [Image: smile.gif]

And I'd rather see a high quality dvd-rip myself, but for now it's what we got. ^.^
