My apologies for not posting a pointer last week.

Chapter 1 of 5 vs 5, "The New Kids in Town", went up last week.

Chapter 2 of 5 vs 5, "Getting to Know You", went up today.

Yes, this is the story that I didn't finish before we rebooted the franchise...

Chapter 4 is up on AO3

This chapter is a milestone for us.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the KanriKyara Project saw fit to reboot the setting in 2022, re-writing some stories so thoroughly that they may as well be brand new stories, revising most of our stories, keeping a few stories untouched, and writing more than a few new stories.

With the publication of this chapter of 5 vs 5, we have finally caught up to where we were before beginning the retconning of the entire setting. (With five exceptions: an untitled story that introduced the Full Metal Panic! core cast to the story, which was so stereotypically cliché that it cannot fit into a deconstruction of the isekai subgenre, so we need to re-write it completely; Hallowe'en in Another Reality, which we're still working on expanding and re-telling; Channeling Mana, which needs some major revisions because of the continuity reboot; Akari's Perfectly Ordinary Day, which is done but has major spoilers for Channeling Mana so we can't re-publish it yet; and An apple to keep the doctor nearby, which is also done but contains spoilers for over a dozen stories that are still being written.)

Those stories and a handful of plotbunnies notwithstanding, now we can work on new stories without having the "retcon" albatross around our necks. We can also do a few things that were unthinkable before the retcon... such as Greetings from Minnesota!, which was an experiment in not only adding images to our stories but actually featuring the images as the story; Trouping to Georgia, which is a KanriKyara story that has no self-insert characters at all; and Greatest Isn't Good Enough, which [REDACTED] that we expect will surprise many of our readers.

Next week, if all goes well, you will -- finally -- see the completion of this story.

Chapter 5 (of 5) of 5 vs 5 is up on AO3.

As always, comments about this story are welcome in this thread. And now to find out whether anybody here is actually reading our stories... because there's no way that this chapter won't cause some strong reactions in the readership.

I hope they can convince Belldandy to fix their van, she's the only person I am aware of who has a restore object to prior condition technique unless somebody imported Tears of the Kingdom Zelda while I wasn't looking.

It's jut a broken windshield. No need for divine intervention.

EDIT: Oh, and Shirou Emiya could fix it with his "Projection" ability.
