Norgarth tends to copy the images to imgur, thus making that service a single point of failure (and removing the image history). Sometimes they show up in a search at tineye.com - that's how I found the story behind the one that I replied to.

Specifics depend on jurisdiction, but IIRC in a lot of places deliberately being excessively annoying in how you render payment can be punished by the law.
