Maeve's fashion sense...
Sounds good, although I imagine that she's got a third look for when she -really- takes the mask off, a la Misato.
Also, I've been sort of thinking on how she and Keiu meet in the first place, and I've hit on an idea - being as she's playing a flighty little twit (and thought Keiu was kinda cute when she saw her helping the other teens swat some boggarts), would it not be apropos for M. to try and get a closer vantage point by infiltrating their school? And, to subvert the stereotype, lets have her do it as a new -teacher-, rather than another student. *thinks a moment, then starts to hum Van Halen*
Another strand of character thought I've been musing on today is parents - these kids aren't living in a vacuum, remember, and Ken's and Keiu's folks in particular hold the potential to be -real- unbalancing.
I figure that, since she's a fully trained and qualified kunoichi, Miyou's basically living on her own, as her clan's, mmm, agent in Toraguchi. Her parents might or might not still be alive, but either way they're probably still on Kyushu - too far away to be a factor.
Tsuchi's father, being a rat-bastard, ran off well before she was born - which, since she's older at the start of the series than her mother was then, should probably hint just where on the socio-economic ladder she grew up. (yes, this does mean that Gaku's technically only her half-brother) Her Mom works long hours at a high-stress, low-pay job, and Tsuchi's probably had a fairly serious job of her own for years, to help out. They love each other a lot, but constant fatigue plus a mortal fear that the kid's gonna recreate -her- mistakes makes for a pretty rocky relationship, so Tsuchi spends a lot of time out of the house - a relic of the time she lost her temper at the nagging and came within a split second of breaking Mom's jaw. (This dynamic, BTW, is -not- responsible for the BF - Tsuchi knows damn well what's going through Mom's head - top ten in her year and she can't figure -that- out? Not likely. Tsu's got no particular urge to rebel for the sake of it - it's just that her nerves can't take being worried over like that, and Mom can't -not- worry, so they don't talk much.)
Of course, none of this helps with the dragons any, but it's nice to know.
Ja, -n
(Keiu, BTW, is originally from Hokkaido, which leads to the amusing image of her and Miyou walking down the street side by side, with Miyou bundled up and hugging herself and Keiu happy as a clam in shorts and t-shirt.)

"V, did you do something foolish?"
"Yes, and it was glorious."
