I strongly doubt the common Japanese kid's gonna know about the Cold Iron and turning your clothes inside-out to beat the Fair Folk.... or even the special ones like the crew here.

"Get down!" a strong voice commanded. Kimiko fell to her knees as something white flew by her. An ofuda? she wondered, and gasped as the talisman struck the gaijin's face and began to glow.
She began to relax, until the horrid man reached up and crumpled the strip of paper. Sure that her end was upon her, she fainted as the man leapt at her.
