I am quite pleased to report that Master of Wood, Water and Hill has updated at long last, and also made it to the border of the Shire.

For those who don't recall, this is the one where Bilbo Baggins has somehow ended up what may be handily described as an epic-level Bard (with the expected knowledge of obscure lore, performance ability, and connections everywhere) before the Company of Thorin Oakenshield ever turned up on his doorstep, which leads to a very bewildering time for said dwarves as well as readers who are expecting to just get on with the journey already, but about 80,000 words of some of the best "this is how things work on an epic bard's home ground" storytelling I've ever seen.
Note that it is as long on details and description as Tolkien himself sometimes so don't go in expecting a pulse pounding thrill ride into adventure - the biggest action sequence so far has been one of the dwarves getting roped into some roughhousing with a gaggle of hobbit kids.
