A.C. has the context that everyone else doesn't - there's one other thing you can do with a fission reactor - especially a fission reactor of that particular type.

They're building reactors to make plutonium mixed-oxide fuel to re-engine the entire Roughriders fleet, eliminating the proliferation risk that triggered the Mackie story - without creating another proliferation risk in the process, and without giving the risk away in the first place. There's logic behind the lunacy. Risking an accident that will be - at the absolute worst - contained to Frigga is far better than risking the alternative. I read far too much on these things to put it to waste.

I think I had planned to end the Mackie story with Jet and Noah speaking - and Jet saying something to the effect of "Grey wasn't the mission - the mission's not over yet".

Truth is, maybe I can't imagine Jet as being happy - but maybe that's just projection.
