Back around the turn of the century the PC I built had onboard 5.1 audio, so I got a decent set of speakers for it - Creative Labs I think, actually, bottom of their line. The first few times playing music or a game with 3d audio with the sweet spot set up exactly on my desk chair were quite the experience
