Dipping a toe into the world of Hi-Fi

When it works, it's beautiful. I used to have a Creative MP3 player --- actually had 2 of them, and basically had to shelve them for lack of space. They had better sound that an iPod and were much smaller. I preferred them to the iPod touch that replaced them. But it had a big brain in it

I'm finding it really unpleasant to listen to music these days - over headphones especially. It feels less like an attack - even if there's a lot less variety it just means being less spoiled for choice.

Does anyone here still listen to tapes, or records or CD's anything?
