What they didn't mention - and I'm quite surprised that they didn't mention it, given what else they've mentioned in other snippets - is that Lincoln was accompanied in his trip by another Pinkerton detective, who stayed awake while Lincoln slept on the train from Baltimore to Washington, thus giving rise to the Pinkerton slogan "We never sleep" and the corporate "unblinking eye" logo that gave private detectives the nickname "private eyes".
Also, the detective that accompanied Lincoln was Kate Warne, the very first female detective hired by Pinkerton.
