To quote from The Register's story five days ago about Cogent turning off its Internet backbone connections to Russia:

Which would make President Putin's attempt to censor the web a lot easier.
Well... Lumen is shutting down its Internet backbone connection to Russia, citing "increased security risk".
The Express is reporting that Russians are fleeing their country because of rumours that martial law will be declared. Trains from Saint Petersburg to Helsinki are packed - and tickets are going for £7,500, which tells one which sort of Russians are doing the fleeing.
