I just added a General Disclaimer page to the wiki. It took me this long because I had to hunt through the Copyright Act to make sure we weren't in violation of Miraheze's "no illegal activities" rule.

Yes, I do believe I found a loophole that makes fanfic legal. In Canada.

This work incorporates elements from other works. Since we do not repeat or imitate the main design of the works that we cite, we believe that this use of these elements, with their source works duly identified, falls under Fair Dealing as per section 32.2 (1)(a) of the Copyright Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42

Granted, this only works if we give every character some character development.
