Without dropping spoilers, it's more that her relative lack of experience bites her hard in this one, rather than "being dumb " per se. None of her cape identities have really had to play defense up to this point, and she was blindsided by having the opposition jump to a conclusion that's the opposite of what she's been guarding against with the separation of personas, so she hadn't considered that angle.
