Gir stood in a cocktail dress, feeling out of place, her family had been invited to one of the cities many hero galas and despite all the PR she did in Praetoria, she was extremely socially awkward.
Casting her gaze around, she saw Tish and Seraph happily showing off Sam, Tish humble bragging about her baby to anyone that listen, Neph was waltzing with her girlfriend and Caroline was chatting happily with what looked like a dragon.
Sighing she tried to move further into the shadows, not to be seen when a woman approached her, Gir had to do a double take, she looked like someone from PE Gir's memories, the name eluding her as the woman extended a hand.
"Hello, I'm Patricia, Patricia White, but call me Patty. Is this dark corner taken?" She said, a smile on her slightly tanned features.
Gir looked her up and down, brown shoulder length hair pulled into a simple ponytail, a shimmering blue dress that shows off a athletic physice and sparkling blue eyes, swallowing Gir offered her hand. "Girtrude Seraph."
Patty grinned. "I could guess that, I have seen you on the news a few times, Centurion Rex, Preat turned hero of Paragon."
Gir blushed. "Yeah, that's me, hope you only saw the hood stuff."
"Well there was that news article about you flying in a bikini..."
Gir buried her head in her hands. "Oh no."
Patty lightly punched her shoulder. "It's okay, most heroes have at least one bad day. So how are you liking the party?"
Blushing, Gir gives a light shrug. "It's okay I guess, never really been to a gala before, not sure what I am meant to do really."
Offering a hand, Patty smiles. "Well, a dance is traditional, care to join me?"
Gir took her hand and was lead onto the dance floor as Patty places one hand on her waist, taking the other and holding it out. "Danced before?"
She shook her head and Patty chuckled. "Follow my lead then, it's not to hard." She said as the started to waltz, Gir letting the other woman guide her around the dance floor, she found it... Relaxing, it was nice to let someone lead her around such a simple task.
As the music came to an end, Party bowed her head. "Thank you for the dance, but sadly as a socialite, I have to be seen chatting to everyone." She winks and reaches into her top, fishing out a business card, also fishing out a pen and writing on it. "Call me? I love to talk to you again."
Gir stood there dumbstruck, looking at the card. "White shipping." Along Patty's number... Was... Was she just hit on?
