Back when we first showed up in Refuge, I had to stay late at school while they finished my matriculation paperwork. (That is the right word, right?) Michael and KITT came and got me when they were done, and we detoured for burgers. I got out of the car and got a photo.

Michael's getting known around Idaho Springs as "that guy with the perfect KITT replicar".  They both get a big kick from the compliments people give.

Here's one of Sakura and me, not too long after we arrived in Refuge. That was the day that we discovered that we're sisters.  We'd decided to go talk about that with our building manager Cassiopée along to make sure we didn't end up at each other's throats. That's who took the photo. I know you've seen me during the Snowball War, but I believe this is the first photo of Sakura on this forum.

Here's a pic I took of Miyuki while she was caught up in a book at a used bookstore on rue Milton, not far from our building.  It's called "The Word".  Really cool place, I hear they even rent books out to people making movies.

Back to the Snowball War for a minute because new picture!  Makoto sent Ami out to get some biscuit mix, so she came here for a box of Powdermilk mix.  (Because of course it was easier to portal to the farm than walk to a store around the corner from Blossom, right?  Sure.)  So, while Ami was here, Eleanor had her transform, then got a photo of her and Yang just before she gave them their award.

Our turn!  So, Mugi has a job as a waitress at The Frog and The Peach, a really nice restaurant in downtown New Brunswick.  It's supposed to be one of the best restaurants in New Jersey (and yes, they named it after the comedy routine, so her bosses are clearly very cool people).  One of her co-workers took a picture of her on her first day:

[Image: 532px-Mugi_at_the_Frog_and_the_Peach.jpg]

Mio took this one -- Hikaru, Fuu and Umi at Thomas Sweet's on Easton Avenue.  It took us a couple weeks, but we were eventually able to get Umi to dress down a bit.

This pic is from last month, but didn't end up in the "Christmas at Douglass Gardens" thread -- the State Theatre in New Brunswick had a live stage production of A Charlie Brown Christmas on the 16th, and a lot of us went to see it -- including Emily and Cyrus, who don't usually do things with us younger people.

Actually, it was easier. In order to get to the closest grocery store here, I would have had to either work my way through heavy traffic or do a Sailor Teleport and draw a lot of media attention to myself, and that's just to get to the mall. Nobody in Lake Wobegon cares when I teleport from your place to Ralph's Pretty Good Grocery and back.

I do get a little attention, but it's not because I'm a senshi -- it's because I'm an out-of-towner doing my shopping in Lake Wobegon!  Mr. Star of The Herald Star took my picture to put in the paper, with the caption "Ottawa resident comes to Lake Wobegon for Powdermilk biscuit mix!"

Here's one of my favorite photos -- I've been keeping a copy in a frame on my desk.  The first few weekends after we arrived in Refuge, Heather took us around the city and showed us the various famous sites, and gave us the necessary history lessons in brief to understand the significance of things like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.  We played tourist and took quite a few photos.  One thing she didn't have to explain, though, was what she tells us is a famous sculpture.  Naturally I had Nanoha, Fate and Chrono pose in front of it:

Do I really need an excuse to visit a friend? (Besides, *silly* excuses are Mina-chan's shtick, not mine.)

Hey, everyone on the English-speaking side! A quick hello from Orléans House, here in beautiful France! I'm not sure how we managed to miss the snowball fight, but we'll definitely be ready for the next one!

In the meantime, I wanted to share this picture of me, Adrien, and Jehanne that our manager, Nathalie, took back in September, when we'd just started introducing Jehanne to fencing. She had a bit of trouble at first -- an épée is a lot lighter than the kind of sword she's used to -- but she picked it up really quickly!  She picked up saber even faster!

[Image: 400px-Marinette%2C_Adrien_and_Jeanne.jpg]

Like Lindy and her picture, this is one I've kept a copy of for myself. Nathalie's taken plenty more of everyone here -- the Gauls, Tintin and his friends, Monsieur Poirot -- but I'll have to ask her for copies before I can post them. So stay tuned!

Did you know she can do half-and-half?  It's some private language British criminals used to use.  *Why* she knows it, I have no idea.  Count yourself lucky that you haven't heard her prattle on in it.  Or Cockney rhyming slang, which even Rob-oji -- Mr. Donaldson -- can't follow.  Minako is the most British Japanese girl I've ever met.

Far be it from the Institute to ignore your challenge, Ms. Saten.  Allow me to share a couple images of our own.

First, Buckaroo and the members of Team Banzai who made the transition to Refuge, photographed on the steps of the Rawhide Memorial Lecture Hall, here on the Institute grounds.  (I will note that Rawhide was immensely touched that we named an entire building in his formerly-posthumous honor.)

Next, Buckaroo relaxing while waiting for results after a very long day in one of the Institute's medical labs working on a project with Doctor Washuu-chan Hakubi.  No, he does not look like Peter Weller did in the 1980s, although there are some small points of resemblance.  Regardless of the universe in which the film was made (and it was made, from what we can learn, in almost every universe that is represented among the displacees), the actor playing Buckaroo *never* was a dead ringer for him.

Well, since we’re showing off our ad shots...

Back in early October, Cologne talked me into spending a perfectly good sunny Saturday afternoon playing photographer.  I took a ton of pictures, and this is the one that she, Shampoo, and Ukyo decided to use for the online promos and in the Xaverian Weekly, the student paper for the college across Highway 4 from us.

[Image: 532px-Shampoo_and_Mousse_at_the_Cafe.jpg]

After that, I poked my head into the kitchen and grabbed a few candid shots of Ukyo while she was cooking. This one's the best of the bunch. Cologne was in there too, but... let's just say she effectively incentivized me to *not* take her picture.

I snapped this shot last September after waiting half an hour for Ranma and Akane to come out of the Antigonish Market Square mall.  Of *course* they weren't enjoying their time alone together without Shampoo or Ukyo (or our fathers) around -- just ask them.  <rolls eyes>

[Image: 532px-Ranma_and_Akane_at_Antigonish_Market_Square.jpg]

On the subject of shopping, here's a shot from just before Christmas of Kasumi doing the weekly at Sobey's supermarket, also across Highway 4 from us.  (Why was I there to take her picture?  We don't have a car, the market is in walking distance, and Kasumi always needs someone to help carry the bags.  And this time I got called on.)

[Image: 532px-Kasumi_at_Sobey%27s%2C_December_2016.jpg]

So if you've never been to the Cafe, it used to be a motel, but if you ask me, whoever built it had no idea what they were doing.  Less than a dozen rooms, but a good-sized restaurant, a swimming pool and what we were told was the kind of little gymnasium/fitness center you'd normally find in a mid- to high-tier hotel catering to business travelers.  I have no idea who their intended clientèle was, but they sure as hell weren't going to be staying at a little motel in a residential area of a small college town, so it's no surprise it went out of business who knows how long before Funtom bought it.  Anyway.  The gym was basically stripped bare when we got here, and the usual suspects decided that it was perfect for a dojo.  That's where the next photo was taken -- the Tendo-Saotome Dojo 2: Electric Boogaloo.  For those of you who don't know our manga or anime, this is Ranma and Akane sparring while Genma "supervises". (Heavy air quotes there.)

(Oh, and for those of you keeping score at home, Akane's *still* ranting about Refuge being full of perverts.  Little sis has both a major complex *and* some serious endurance... and a few fewer friends at school, including her "out" classmates Katie and Tammy, because of what she said at lunch today. This Friday the 13th was definitely bad luck for her.)

I don't think Akane even noticed them get up and walk off with their lunches.

I chased'em down during gym and tried to tell them sorry for what Akane's been saying, but they don't wanna hear it from me.  The big thing upsettin' them is they've never run into someone... how'd they put it?  "So hateful and small-minded" is what Tammy said.  They know our show, and they know about the curse and how she reacts to it, and they wanted to know why I put up with her.

You know, I don't remember seeing any photos of any of the residences yet in this thread.  Well, other than the Dietmeier farm, of course.  (And I'm not counting the Banzai Institute, which from what I understand is more like a college crossed with a military base. Big Grin)  So let me be... well, obviously not the first, but the second with this photo I took of Hane and Lime just before they ran out to do some shopping.  In case it's not obvious, that's our house -- according to Tom, our local liaison, the managers are calling it "Kickstand Cottage" now instead of "Residence 23" or just "Okeechobee".
