IIRC the literal translation for "Shishi Houkodan" is "despairing lion's roar" and the manga panel illustration was a lion slipping off the edge of a cliff... so what if King Whatsisface had indeed produced one in that situation, creating a blast that turned his murder into a double takedown with Mufasa also dead? It's not like Simba could take over as a cub regardless.
