Sam slowly crawled around the house, everything was so colourful and shiny, it was his first Christmas and he was filled with awe. He noticed a door is open and crawls in, looking up to see sister Caroline looking at some tanks, he carefully sits up. "Abu?" He asks.
Caroline turns around and smiles. "Hey little man, just feeding my pets." She kneels down and picks him up. "Wanna see?'
He cheers in glee! Uppies is the best thing in the world! But then he sees the occupants of the tank. "Awa?"
Caroline rests him on her hip and smiles. "First is my African rain frogs." She carefully opens the tank and sprinkles some crickets in, the frogs squeaking as they waddled around trying to eat the bugs before closing it again.
She then walks over to her mini fridge, opening it and picking up a feeder mouse by its tail, walking over to the next tank where a snake watched them. "This is my hognose, he's a bit shy, so I leave the food for him to find on his own." She drops the mouse in, the snake slowly slithering over to it before unhinging it's jaw and swallowing it.
Sam just stared, eyes boggling at the sight of this.
"And final tank, Goji my Iguana." She heads back to the fridge and gets out some chicken strips, going to her largest tank, one that took up most of the wall, in it a big green iguana watched them under its basking lamp and Caroline carefully unlocked the case and fed him, Sam reaching for the lizard.
Goji just calmly ate his chicken, watching the two humans, before crawling off into the shade.
"Now the most important part of feeding animals Sam, wash our hands." She smirked and took him to the bathroom, carefully washing both her and his hands. "You where such the good helper today little man."
Sam just giggles.
