The good lord save us from feckin' highway chickens.
Don't ask me how he did it, but Ryouga made it here to Dublin at least once. (Although seeing as he's managed to walk to Hawaii, I probably shouldn't be surprised.) We spotted him across the street from our place:
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_on_Henrietta_Street.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/2/2a/Ryouga_on_Henrietta_Street.jpg/532px-Ryouga_on_Henrietta_Street.jpg)
By the time we identified him and got out there, though, he was already gone. So, no, we didn't feed him a meal and take him around to see the sights.

Um, hi, everyone. You don't know how good it makes me feel to know that there are so many people looking out for me all over. If there's anything that makes Refuge better than our old world, it's that. Friends like Yui and Usagi make being as lost as I get not nearly as bad as it used to be. The smartphone Epsilon arranged for me helps a lot, too, because I can keep in touch with people even when I have no idea where I am -- like right now. I'm out in the desert somewhere. It's been dark for a few hours now, and it's chilly, but I have a fire and my bedroll so I'm comfortable, and I have my phone and 4G so even by myself I'm not alone.
I still haven't figured out how it's supposed to help me find my way like Epsilon said it could, but one thing at a time, I suppose.
I *have* figured out how to use the camera in it, and since everyone else has been posting pictures, I thought I'd share some selfies I took in places I've been to in the last few months.
I'll start with someplace familiar -- this is me and the Tokyo Tower. I don't know if it's because Refuge and our old world are just different, or maybe it's something that happened in the quarter-century between when we come from and now, but they apparently built this big long park in front of it.
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_and_the_Tokyo_Tower.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/9/9a/Ryouga_and_the_Tokyo_Tower.jpg/532px-Ryouga_and_the_Tokyo_Tower.jpg)
Here I am by the Parthenon in Athens. I was surprised by just how good a condition it's in -- every picture I've ever seen makes it look a lot more ruined. Did they restore it between our time and now? I don't know.
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_and_the_Parthenon.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/e/ec/Ryouga_and_the_Parthenon.jpg/532px-Ryouga_and_the_Parthenon.jpg)
A pyramid in the desert -- it's got to be Egypt, right? Of course right. The Giza area is a lot more built up than I expected, though. I suppose they get so many tourists they need it.
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_in_Giza.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/5/5f/Ryouga_in_Giza.jpg/532px-Ryouga_in_Giza.jpg)
Me at London Bridge in London, England. An American tourist by the name of Tyson took this picture for me. We talked for a while -- he was a nice guy.
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_in_London.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/6/63/Ryouga_in_London.jpg/532px-Ryouga_in_London.jpg)
And finally, here I am in Versailles. France is really beautiful, with all those rolling fields and horse farms, and the people are so friendly. It's too bad I didn't have very much money with me, because I'm pretty sure one of the locals said it's for sale.
![[Image: 532px-Ryouga_in_Versailles.jpg]](https://kanrikyara.miraheze.org/w/thumb_handler.php/9/99/Ryouga_in_Versailles.jpg/532px-Ryouga_in_Versailles.jpg)
Okay, that's it for me tonight -- my phone's down to 15% power and I don't want to drain it completely in case I need it in the morning before I can get the solar charger set up. I have a couple power banks I can use, but I like to save those for a real emergency.
Take care, everyone, and I'm sure I'll see some of you soon. Not sure who, not sure where, but I'll see someone, I'm certain. <smile>
