A damn sight longer than just a decade, though fair enough that it was 2015 when Trump was such an obnoxious asshole that even the diehard Republicans in my near family, who literally cuss at obstinate pieces of technology by calling them "god0damned Democrat invention," figured he had to be a ringer getting paid off make a fake run./ Alas, the joke was all too real, Trump is the punchline, and the rest of the world is laughing (at best, whe they're happily not involved.)
